I had the same issue and couldn't find them anywhere in the UK. So i ended up ordering them direct from Almost Golf in Australia. Still waiting for them to arrive tho! (ordered 4 weeks ago - i wasnt in a rush for them)
so not ideal if you need them sharpish. Someone on this forum gave me the idea and their order took 2 weeks just prior to covid.

Been using them for past week. I’m happier using them outside as I’ve no concerns about damaging neighbouring property. They do mimic my golf shot shape which is what I’m working on but for me distance is way down...7 iron by 2 clubs n driver I do well to hit it 200 yards! I do enjoy hitting them though. Be interested to hear how you guys get on.

They seemed ok with wedges and 9 iron. Im going to test them with long irons and driver as i have heard the same issues with distance. Still great balls for practice imo

Do your balls still look round as a couple of mine look slightly oval but could be deceiving...or do they mishape after 100+ hits?

I havent used them a great deal other than a bit of testing. But they are starting to get worn but still look round (i think lol) . Can't imagine them lasting too long. But then again my real balls get beaten up pretty bad. I guess you hit a lot more shots in the sim than on the course.

Somebody was messing around trying to quantify the difference in distance between real balls and almost balls so they could adjust their boost percentages to mimic using a real ball on TGC etc. They were asking for input from other people.

But I can't remember where I saw the thread.

I’ve got mine too. Find the ballspeed is down about 6 mph on mid iron and spin is significantly less but shot shape seems sensible. On driver bs is down about 20 ish., I’m about a 100 mph swinger so would expect bs of 147 ish . This leads to 200 yard carries rather than 240 but noise reduction is obviously huge

Thats pretty much identical to myself - esp the driver numbers. I'm still well happy with them as I spend most my time practicing shaping the ball using the ST range facility.

How often are you having to replace the almost golf balls as a result of wear n tear...and are you finding that they are going mis-shaped?

I'm using the yellow ones BTW and they are reading great.

How are you guys getting on with the almost golf balls? Do they last a reasonable number of hits without getting mis-shaped?

FYI I’ve had good luck with Point Five balls. They are surlyn covered balls that are 1/2 the weight of a regular ball. Of course not soft like an almost golf ball but feel a lot better to hit. Errant balls don’t have the damage risk or screen damage of full weight balls. Distances are better IMO than almost golf. Just depends on your needs. Looks like they ship to UK. Seems like the company should promote them for simulator use. Here’s a link if you want to check them out. https://www.pointfivegolf.com/store/..._dozen%29.html
