Skytrak with Android - Anyone?

I'm getting a skytrak soon but I'm an Android user. I plan on initially just using the driving range function but my eventually upgrade to TGC19 and build a sim setup.

So I'm hoping to use my Android phone for simple driving range before I upgrade. I've seen a lot of negative posts about this from a few years ago but nothing recent.

Is anyone actually using Android with their Skytrak (driving range only).

I've used it on my phone and haven't had any issues recently. I had trouble keeping a connection in direct mode initially, but that was a while ago. Just make sure you have a more recent phone would be my only recommendation

When I had Skytrak, I exclusively used this with Android devices. Not just phones though but also the Samsung Note 10.1 (tablet) and other Samsung android tablets. It worked just fine and I didn't have any issues.

Just make sure your Android phone has an octa-core (or dual quad core) processor and you'll be good. Just about any modern phone will have that.
