  • Best Simulation for Putting/chipping/Pitching

    Hi everybody,

I just purchased a Skytrak and cant wait to use it. Since we are currently moving and I have limited space, I can only Putt, Chip, Pitch (3/4 swing max.)

Which Simulation Plan would you recommend for practising short game?

    Thx, Cheers from Austria, Flo

Welcome. If you are just practicing limited shots you can use the skytrak game improvement plan. It comes with a free month of two of the simulator plans. Fitness golf and one other as I recall. You can try out the simulator plans, or just use the range on the skytrak with the added features the $99 plan gives you. It's a good and inexpensive place to start.

E6/Creative Golf have demos but only range and/or course options. I'm not sure about if they have putting or mini games available in the demo. Creative Golf has some putting mini games and their Golfisimo software is all mini games and short courses. Golf Simulator Videos on YouTube does a video about Golfisimo (on Mevo+, but should be similar).

ProTee Play is another one that has mini games and driving range too for short game

Which software are you ultimately interested in purchasing? You can do short game and putting stuff with pretty much any of them. TGC2019 has a lot of short little pitch and putt courses. If you're planning on getting eventually you can just get it now and play the pitch and putt courses until you have more room to do more.

e6 has some practice stuff where you can chip and putt.

As mentioned above creative golf has some mini golf type stuff. How long until you can play for real?

The new House wont be ready in the next 12 months so I am thinking about getting a yearly plan for now. I am currently thinking about getting TGC2019 and E6 - Cant really decide what to go for

I would recommend TGC2019. It’s excellent for overall game play including short game. Keep us posted.

I agree. On e6 you'll be limited to just practicing but on TGC you'll be able to play a lot of short courses. Do a course search for the word "kids" and you'll see a whole bunch of results for short par 3s and pitch and putt courses.

Okay thanks a lot for you tipps. In regards to chipping im a not very happy anyway. With the game improvement plan it reads it like 9m carry and 2m roll with a 9 iron - which cant be correct.

That's just on a driving range. Don't worry about that. Once you start playing TGC the roll out will be more true because you'll be chipping onto a green and not a range. In TGC you can hit very delicate chips that only carry about 4 feet and will run out a lot once they're on the green.

Does anyone know if there is a possible workaround to get creative golf 3d to run on current gen ipad?
