Hello Everyone. I have had a SkyTrak for about a year and it has improved my game. I dropped 3 strokes on my handicap. I had plateaued for many years. I do have one issue...I live in the mountains and play a very “mountainy” Course. Rarely are we playing on flat ground, even on the chance that I am in the fairway. I was considering building a wedge to put under my mat to simulate these lies. Does anyone think the SkyTrak would still work in these circumstances? Would the SkyTrak need to be on the mat at an angle or still level? Any ideas?

The skytrak has to be level with the ball in order to get a good reading. Plus the ball is just going to roll off the mat if you slope it.
You could leave the ball in place on a hitting mat though and have a separate stance mat to adjust the angle of the slope where you're standing. You could produce a ball-below-the feet lie fairly easily by putting the wedge behind your feet. But producing a ball-above-the-feet lie would be harder (you can raise your feet with the wedge but that wouldn't raise the ball). You'd probably have to have everything (both mats and the skytrak) raised up off the ground quite a bit in order to have enough room to slope the mat away from the ball or have some sort of way to raise the hitting mat.
(Not to mention the giant pain in the butt of moving this wedge around under the mat before every shot).Last edited by 3on3putt; 08-23-2020, 06:50 PM.
