TGC Interface for Skytrak not Downloading?

    TGC Interface for Skytrak not Downloading?

    I decided to start a new thread specifically for a problem I am having with the TGC Interface. I just bought TGC. I ran the installation and although an Interface icon appears on my desktop, the program has seemingly not been installed on the PC? I dclick the icon but it just wants me to locate the program. The download is 120mb and I can tell it isn't downloading because it finishes too fast.

    Has anyone else experienced this, or know what the problem might be?

    I assume you got the key from protee? And I also assume you purchased tgc through the skytak website?

        Did you use the default file location during the install or did you change it to something else? I've seen someone post about changing the location causing an issue before, but I can't find the post to see if its the same issue you have.

          If Protee claims that the issue is on Skytrak's side, I would try calling Skytrak (not that their customer service is anything to write home about). It sounds like there's clearly an issue with the download. The download should take quite a bit of time. I recall mine taking close to an hour I believe. Are you also getting the TGC settings file icon to appear?

            Scoop. I just used the default location. The program is not actually downloading. A progress bar comes up as if it were downloading, but it finishes way too fast for a 120mb file?

              Yes. The TGC icon appears and it works! I can run the game. I can do everything except get shots to register. Pro Tee says the Beta Interface should work. It connects the Skytrak so why I have this issue is a mystery. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

                In addition to getting the interface icon though, you should also get a second icon that's called "TGC settings" (so 2 separate icons should appear on your desktop). Are you getting the settings icon as well as the interface icon?

                  Yes I have the "TGC settings" icon. When I click that one it opens a text file with a bunch of game parameters.

                    Issue is fixed. I created a brand new user account. Made sure it was a admin account. I have no idea why this worked but the Interface downloaded on this new account. I am now up and running!
