Lagging Display of shots from Sky Trak to screen.

I am using a Apple Ipad pro wireless connect to the Sky Trak, then a thunderbolt from the Ipad to a 55" TV. It takes typically 2 seconds to read the shot and display on the tv, occasionally its faster and occasionally much slower. Is it the Ipad? or just all the calculation. Typically I play on E6, occasionally on WGT. The graphics seem much better on WGT but don't like the screens as much. I am pretty happy with the TV set up instead of the hitting screen and projector. My original intention was to get the hitting screen and projector, but with the lagging its just as easy to turn and watch the tv. If I go to a computer with a juiced up graphic card and speedy processor would the lagging go away? If this would make the lagging go away then I would consider going to the hitting screen with projector. Also would the graphics with the computer and good viedo card get me better graphics than with the Ipad?

As far as issues I have had VERY few with my Sky Trak! An occasional loss of internet, but with probally 3 TV's streaming and 3 computers wirelessly hooked up I'm sure I'm using alot of bandwith.

This is unfortunately a limitation of the Skytrak. I bought one knowing this and so am not disappointed at all, but can see how it's frustrating if you expected it to pick up and display immediately. 2 seconds is the going rate, really, and is not impacted by something like home hardware.

Have noticed it really struggles when the WiFi is being hammered by other devices! Not sure how to fix this. Perhaps someone else might?

    Happy golfing!

You can try connecting the Skytrak in USB mode. It's one less thing chewing into the network.

But yes you're correct in that 2 seconds is about the fastest response time you'll get no matter your setup.

I concur. Former Skytrak owner and I found the USB connection to shave a bit off of the 'processing' time. I also noticed a speed increase when switching from an iPad (not Pro) to a gaming PC. Still about 2 second delay from shot to screen results, but the 2 seconds was far more consistent with USB and PC versus WiFi and iPad. Hope this helps!
