  • Flashing red middle

    So my skytrak as worked great almost 10 months in and yesterday my laptop isn’t picking up skytrak normally switch the skytrak on and it’s there on the WiFi settings but it’s not there anymore and the middle light is flashing red doesn’t matter if I have internet connection or not the skytrak was always there when click on
    I normally go online load in my user name then switch on skytrak then swap over the WiFi to skaytrak as my internet is rubbish in the shed
    any ideas is the skytrak at fault ?

    Try turning on the skytrak before anything else. Skytrak first and then turn your computer on. I used to have issues with this myself and then I read about always turning the skytrak on first before anything else and I haven't had a problem since.

        No still not working it’s not finding the skytrak in the WiFi settings . Just flashing red middle light tried to reset it hold for 10 secs they don’t turn amber

        any ideas?

          Have you tried connecting via USB instead of a network or direct connection? USB mode seems to be the most reliable.

            Yes tried connecting via the usb cable still flashes red it just won’t find it on the laptop . It’s worked for 10 months no problem finds it straight away . Yesterday nothing. Won’t even reset when I hold the button in for 10 seconds

              Sometimes, when resetting the skytrak, I have found it doesn’t change to amber lights after holding the reset button for 10 seconds like it’s supposed to. In those instances, I have just continued to hold the button in longer until it does reset. Eventually, it would reset for me.

              You could also search “skytrak won’t hard reset” on this forum or the general internet for other ideas. But for me, holding down longer has always ultimately worked.

                Just an update . No matter how long I hold the reset button in it wouldn’t reset . It and skytrak and luckily it was in warranty till January 21 . So they gave me a return label and I posted it off to them . They emailed me today saying it’s got a fault but as to be sent off to America for repair... 4-6 weeks before I get it back they will extend my subscription while I’m without it though
