WGT / iPhone vs iPad

Hi all,

I am expecting my Skytrak next week and I was planning on sticking with WGT for a bit and then decide if I want to move to other sim SW later.

Wondering if anyone here runs it off of their iPhone and if so any concerns? I will be projecting on a larger screen but just meant in terms of the controls etc, navigating the app. Is it ok or would you recommend upgrading to a larger screen like an iPad Pro?

I ran it off my phone for a while and had no issues. Just go into settings and set it so that the screen doesn't go to sleep before you play. (It doesn't go to sleep when using the Skytrak app but does in WGT for some reason)

Only other thing to bear in mind is the aspect ratio.

I have an iphone 11 Pro and the aspect ratio is 19:5 which gives a long narrow screen when projected.

For this reason i actually hung on to my old iphone 7 which had the more traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and use that with the Skytrak when i want to use the projector. The shot to show time is the same on both.

Im not sure when the aspect ratio of the iphones changed.
