“Perfect” is quite a word choice.

    what is your budget?

well, i guess what i am saying is i would like something that will run it without too much, if any, compromise on picture/image quality and speed etc without going crazy on the cost. I was thinking I would probably need to be spending somewhere around £750-£800 so in dollars circa $800-900?

I think it really depends on what graphics settings and resolution you want to run at. I've read that you actually need a fairly beefy GPU if you want 4k, for example. If you wanted to do 1080p, you can go off of the TGC2019 recommended specs.

I'm currently looking into the same, and will probably build a PC with one of the latest generation GPUs. I'll post back when I figure out what I'm going to go with.

For $800 you can run the software smoothly. Graphics won’t be optimal but you will still be playing with as little pause as a SkyTrak can do. If you want a great picture, additional detail, water reflection, etc than you are halfway to the budget you need. (Projector excluded of course)

I run Skytrak with TGC 2019 with this and have no issues and graphics are very good. The graphics card is actually below minimum recommendations for TGC 2019 but I can't really see it being any better! Skytrak itself ran fine on a very old laptop that I had just laying around, almost anything somewhat modern will run it. I only updated because I bought TGC 2019. I also attached a screen shot from TGC 2019, visually it is very good and runs very smooth. Click image for larger version

Wow, jpotas, that looks really awesome. Can't wait for video cards to cool off a bit so I can actually grab one of the latest gen cards. That's a pretty solid deal on that laptop too. I've seen some w/ a less powerful processor and a smaller/cheaper hard drive for ~ $600. I'm going to see how much I hate moving my computer from my office to my garage to play TGC2019, and if it really bothers me I'll pony up for a laptop to make it easier to move (I can't leave a computer or the skytrak in my garage, unfortunately).

I am in the same boat, my sim is in my polebarn and I don't leave my Skytrak or laptop out there.
