Hello all. I’ve been lurking for months now ever since I ordered my SkyTrak. I built a Gazebo to hold the golf sim. I call it a gazebo because by code I can build one without needing any permits. No size restrictions. Sooooooooooo gazebo it is. Anyway, this is my problem. I finished building the gazebo. Power, Ethernet and everything. I added heat via an infrared heater. It is insulated. The SkyTrak doesn’t seam to want to connect via USB inside the gazebo. It connects just fine in direct mode to the SkyTrak app on my laptop. I get all three lights and everything. When I connect via USB, I get the two bottom lights green and the top light will flicker red/green. I have disconnected the power line to the laptop and no change. I have turned off the router and just used the WiFi from the house and no change. I have turned off the heater and no change. To see of the problem was just in the gazebo I brought the SkyTrak and the laptop in the house and connected them there. They connect via USB with no problem. So the USB connection in and of itself isn’t the problem. Same cord and everything. I don’t know what else could be causing the problem. Any ideas would be welcome.
USB interference

It might be some form of electro-magnetic interference in the gazebo vs. inside. Maybe a shielded USB cable like this could work: https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Hi...2540975&sr=8-3

I will have to buy a better power strip. I did order a better usb cord from amazon. I was online with SkyTrak support all day. They told me that there was static interference because of the cold weather and the sim having the room full of artificial turf, They said the static just keeps building. They suggested using a rubber mat or wrapping electrical tape around the usb cord where the cord passes through the FMJ. They also suggested just using it in Network mode until the weather gets nicer.
