  • SKYTRAK - Review of v4.0 SkyTrak Golf Simulator Software (Beta First Look)

I did a quick first look review of the new V4.0 SkyTrak Software (beta). I think they really have done a nice job with this. It continues to evolve as well which is nice to see. Have you used it yet? What do you think?

Thanks, Seth. Bought this unit to keep in the studio this time so looking forward to future releases and updates. Feel free to email anytime. a98cr125@gmail.com Cheers, Jay.

The shadow detail for the tracer is a really nice addition. I don't recall that being in the former versions. Also I think i noticed that the clouds in the sky are moving ever so slightly.

I agree, shadow of trace is nice. Gives you a nice feel for the shape. That is why I did my best to try and shape both ways. Thanks for watching!

So for playing a simulation as TCG19 orE6 connect its not necessary to change the club ? Only for practice and training wo get correct datas to analyse my game ?

New to forum. Tons of great info and considering Skytrak. Do you need to select club, ie 9 iron, each time you change? Example: When playing on a course, do you have to select Driver, then 8 iron, then wedge, then putter actively? If so, same thing if running TGC 2019? Thanks for any info!

It is reading the ball data, so no it is not necessary as it is measuring the ball speed, LA, etc. and not the club.

In TGC19 you need to change the club only if you are going from non-putting to putting or vice versa. Everything from chips to drives will pick up based on ball metrics. But the sound of hitting the ball and graphics of what you're holding is based on the club selection. Plus the tracking stuff Seth mentioned which applied to the Skytrak software as well.

Selecting the club is nice for tracking purposes and game improvement, but it is not necessary nor does it change the data/readings as mentioned above. All we are measuring is what the ball is doing.

That is a great point on the tracking stats, Seth.

I have to say, a lot of you guys are easily pleased. Better looking grass? Better clouds and blue sky? That’s all just cosmetic. New tracers? . I was hoping for something a bit more groundbreaking like they promised a couple of years ago. Personally it’s a nothing update

I have to agree with the follow cam, think i preferred how it followed in the previous version, something doesn't look quite right
