Been testing the Skytrak with E6. Connection is easily done through wifi. Bill data is measured and fed to E6 using its algo's. Delay is about 3 seconds. Probably ok with most folks but those that expect it immediate may be annoyed. They are working on improving the shot to show time. Chipping works fine. No putting as of yet. One thing that is critical is having the unit exactly aligned to the target line. If off it will affect the horizontal azimuth. Right now they don't have the alignment assist option available within E6 but I suggest they allow it to make it easier to align. Overall however it works fine.

I'm very happy with ST on e6, playing all week-end with my son.
My testing period will soon finish, I'm just looking at final release.
Setting gimmes to auto-putt is not a problem as I don't expect to practice putting on simulation.
Practice is very cool on e6, I do lots of practice sessions.
the ability to boost one player and play from differents tees is great (my son is 6).
Si, I'm just waiting a release date !
this week-end, I'll try TCG from steam (without ST) to check if my PC and projector can handle the game good.
Then, I'll choose the best setup ... I'm very pleased and prepared for this winter ...

Yes, E6 is very easy to add mulit-player with different tee boxes and ability to add boost. Just so you know with TGC you can't have different tee boxes. So for your son to play with you'll you'll have to boost him 30% and he'll be hitting big numbers with his clubs that might actually hurt his game.
I'm hoping to see E6 cloud pricing soon...............then there's also Perfect Golf, check out them on Steam, I think it's $20 as an early access game.

Trugolf accidentally had directory browsing enabled on their web-server, and had a directory of all thier software wide-open for the world to see. Augusta golf course, Chambers Bay, full version of E6, demo version, patches etc. One item was called Extender.zip, which apparently pushes out the 30 day expiration date on the demo.
Thats what I heard anyway.

Don't know if this has ever come up. But I called TruGolf today ask them about this cloud version that has been placed on their web site forever but no updates. What I was told is they are not targeting official release of the cloud version until October of 2016. They said they have been beta testing the early commercial release with some pilot groups and are reworking some features/enhancements based on feedback and will continue to tweak that until late next year as a target time frame.

Is anyone getting longer shot-to-show times than when they first started playing e6 with Skytrak? At first, it only took a few seconds for the shot to show up on the screen. Now it takes around 10 seconds or more to show up. It doesn't matter whether it's in the driving range or the course play. It's pretty much unplayable with this wait time. Nothing about my setup has changed, so not sure why the wait time is getting longer.

I'm not seeing longer shot-to-show times, but recently I am seeing the SkyTrak hang on occasion, something I didn't experience the first week or so of use. The SkyTrak will get into a state where the top light is red and the two bottom lights are green. I've tried going to different areas of E6 (e.g., from the range to the course, different areas of the menu, flybys, etc.), but nothing will restore functionality. The only way for me to fix it is to exit E6 and power cycle the ST. Not a big deal on my end as I know this is just a demo and possibly not even officially supported, but just an fyi.
-
FIX: Power off Skytrak - exit range/game. Power on Skytrak then return to game/range. That will fix the top light red issue.
I had that happen alot with the first PC I had and the video card was junk.......GTX745. Then I got a new CPU with a GTX970 and I have had ZERO issues with it since.

Has anyone uninstalled E6 and removed registry entries in an attempt to extend the 30 day demo? I have a feeling mine is about to run out and since nothing else has been released would like to keep using it. I could reinstall windows, it's just a bit of a pain. Anyone have any experience here? I missed out on the /files/ extender, etc... If anyone can help me with that I would be greatful PM please. Thank you.
On a side note: I would be happy to pay for a cloud version if it was available - but since it's not, the above will have to do.

I'm also enjoying the e6 demo the most vs wgt at this point and have really been using it exclusively. The ability to just let the game decide on my Putts vs the struggle with WGT putting makes e6 a lot more fun. Only issues I have are with shots not being read about 3-5 per round. This happens a good bit with short chips for me. I guess this will have to tide me over until e6 full and WGT are released. That will be a tough decision. Does anyone have a good site or article that compares the two feature for feature, pros and cons?

Just wondering if im reading this wrong or not but the swing path says inside/out and has a closed club face but still it goes right... is this reading correctly Looks like I have some high spin numbers and just wondering if that would contribute to this slice. With that swing patch and closed club face it should have a draw spin on the ball. what do you guys think

Thanks for posting the video Willymakit. The flight you are seen probably means that your club face is open relative to your in to out swing path. I'm guessing you probably know this based on your consistent drives and length.
My question for you has to do with the delay which seems to be pretty long compared to the other video posted in this thread of E6 and ST. What are the specs of the pc you are running E6 on?
-
Holy crap. We can't see you swing the club. But from the sound until your shot appears on the screen it is over 14 seconds. Why is your delay so bad??
-
-
Yeah, don't pay attention to the Swing Path and Face Angle shown in E6. Skytrak doesn't calculate those numbers, so E6 is just estimating and putting a number in the box. In your video you are fading the ball right because of the fade spin on the ball. Nice drives though!Originally posted by Willymakit View PostJust wondering if im reading this wrong or not but the swing path says inside/out and has a closed club face but still it goes right... is this reading correctly Looks like I have some high spin numbers and just wondering if that would contribute to this slice. I was seeing similar oddities last night. 2 in out and 2 closed should be a miss left of target. Appears that should have been 2 in out and 3 or 4 open to me since it started right and tailed right. Since skytrak isn't measuring the club it also could have been 0 path just an open face. Not worth looking at those numbers IMO.Last edited by Tekbud; 11-13-2015, 03:09 AM.

Nice shots! Man, if you can find a way to drop that spin by about 2000 rpm, you will pick up some serious yardage.

All I was doing was trying to get those readings I was seeing before. So tried duplicating for recordings. Last night I was in the 2500rpm and ranging around 290. thanks thoughOriginally posted by TorchRedRob View Post

I agree with what Dax said.
For me, the head and shaft were the main things that led to my reduction in spin. I can grab a club off the rack and spin it to 3500+ easily. My club is in the low 2000's (and that's even with it set at 11.5 deg!)

What I have right now is the titilest 913 from last year with the x stiff shaft with a 72 gram weight I find swinging with a stiff shaft that I get the feeling of the club twisting once contacting the ball. So when I was club fitted two years ago they recommended xstiff shafts for all clubs. I did realize I had high spin rate , now I just need to figure out how to get it down.

Yes it's a 3 year old laptop. I'm getting about 16fps when just running the e6 software. It's a delay of about 3 secs. When I was recording I was getting 8 fps and delaying the shot a little longer. I'm just waiting until something comes out then I will spend the money.Originally posted by Willymakit View PostJust wondering if im reading this wrong or not but the swing path says inside/out and has a closed club face but still it goes right... is this reading correctly Looks like I have some high spin numbers and just wondering if that would contribute to this slice.
