Locked skytrak

Hello,

I bought a used Skytrak from a resale shop. The owner said it was locked when I purchased it but I took a gamble and purchased it anyway. My question is...is there any way to "unlock it"? It seems like if you purchase a unit you would own it outright. You should be able to sell it and do with it as you see fit. Am I missing something? I tried finding a way to contact skytrak but it is

Could you describe what happens when you turn it on and try to use it? Also what happened when you contacted skytrak? Your original post got cut off or something.

The only way a unit can be considered "locked" is if it is stolen, has become unregistered, or its membership expires. For this transfer, the seller needs to detach the unit from his account and then you can register to you. You will also need to apply a membership to the unit, free/GIP/PIP. Customer support can easily help with this transfer if you get stuck.
