  • Laser Issue

Ever since the most recent update I have had a laser issue. I’m guessing just a coincidence but it will show up until I step in front/put the ball on it, where oftentimes it goes out. Even when it stays on, it’s a low chance it reads the shot.

Any ideas? Very frustrating - it was working flawlessly before this. No changes to my setup so I don’t think it’s that.

i don't understand why it "almost" reads it sometimes. I'll hit a shot and the red light will dissappear. computer thinks for 10 sec and the dot comes back- no read. most shots it dissappears and after 10 sec it reads and displays the shot. odd.

I’ve noticed that too. Sometimes when the computer has been on for awhile. I have a pretty decent computer but it is what it is I guess. When I cycle off for a bit and the computer “refreshes” it usually helps.

Did you ever discover the issue...

    I'm having a similar issue.

Started up the unit this morning, hit about 15 balls and the unit stopped reading completely. Tried various USB cables, unit connects but still doesn't register any shots.
Jumped on this forum and saw a thread that someone else had this issue and the test was to put the unit in a left hand mode and waggle the club through the light and see if it goes out.

Did that in left hand mode, light goes out with each pass of the club through the spot. Back on right hand mode, the light never goes out.

I’ve never really figured it out. It generally works so I’m not terribly concerned about it. I think it may have to do with the computer not being on for too long and ensuring fresh processing capability. But what do I know! 😃

Dear Jim Cozzolino, We have received your SkyTrak Launch monitor REE22WAIN59A, and it has been determined by our technicians that the unit is in need of a RH 854 trigger laser replacement. The repair quote for your device is $99.00.
