Official SkyTrak retirement

I officially transferred ownership of my SkyTrak unit today. I owned it from 5/22/2019 and recorded roughly 26,600 hits on the machine (with who knows how many non-reads).

I sold the unit for $2k with the FMJ…I’d say I got my money’s worth. =)

Other positive notes over the past 2+ years

- My swing is a bit better…it would be a lot better if I spent less time chasing distance. I’d say I’ve dropped 3 shots down to a 3.
- My Net Return system still looks mostly new…screens have been replaced obviously
- My Fiberbuilt mat is slightly used. I haven’t even considered rotating the hitting area, looks good for another 50,000 hits.

My use of this system convinced me to buy a Uneekor EYE XO.

I hear you on chasing distance. It's so addictive to try and get those numbers better and better for distance -- but for me, counterproductive to my "real" game. Honestly, though, while I'd really love my garage set up to improve my game, I'd almost settle for it just not making it worse. I have so much more fun hitting irons into a net chasing numbers than I ever thought I would -- sometimes I think I like it more than outside golf -- it's a lot more convenient too.

Not to mention that even after you get the new distance, you still have to adjust to the numbers. I’ll be sitting there knowing in my head that I can get the 9 there, but my body doesn’t trust it so then I hook it. Or like the other day I tried to hit a 3/4 PW 115 to a back pin and carried it 125 (and over the green).

Nothing like turning a birdie into a bogey.
