SkyTrak_Seth I am in process of selling my SkyTrak. To allow the new owner to register the unit for themselves, do I simply sign-out of my account, or do I need to do something else?

Found it. Login to your Skytrak account, click on My Devices and you can go from there.
SELLING OR TRANSFERRING A SKYCADDIE
If you are selling your SkyCaddie, or transferring ownership of this particular SkyCaddie to another person, please click the Deactivate button below to remove the association of your account with this device.
After deactivating this SkyCaddie, you may sell or transfer this SkyCaddie to someone else. You may use an existing membership plan that was detached to apply to another SkyCaddie. You may also reactivate the SkyCaddie at a later time.
Note: Membership plans are non-transferrable. Therefore your membership plan cannot be sold or transferred to devices that are not registered under your membership account. The new owner will need to purchase a new membership plan in order to download courses and manage the device.

Hi. I know it's an old post but I sold my skytrak. I phoned skytrak who told me I can deregister my skytrak in my skygolf account or I can phone them and they can sort it. I've looked at my account and found how to deregister.
To save me having to phone skytrak again, can the knew owner then download the skytrak app on there phone and register or there something else they need to do?
If I deregister can the knew owner register straight away or would there be a bit of a delay?

A code would have appeared on your screen when you deregistered. They would need that code to register the device to their account.
I think that code should be on a sticker on the bottom of the skytrak too (if the sticker is still there). Mine was in a protective case so I didnt check when I sold mine. I just gave him the code from when i deregistered.
It should register more or less straight away then to the new owener.

Yes that's what I did this morning.
