  • SkyTrak Data Sync

    Hi all,

    I'm working on the next app update which is going to fix all of the sync, database, sorting, and display issues. It's been hard to pinpoint because some of you are syncing fine, some are inconsistent, and some are not able to sync at all. To help me speed things along, can you please report back here and let me know:

    1) Syncing fine/inconsistent/not at all

    2) Are you using direct mode and syncing later or network mode and syncing as you go?

    3) Is your SkyGolf360 (and SkyTrak app) login name your email address, or is it a custom username?

    4) Did you have a SkyGolf360 (clubsg) account before you bought SkyTrak?

    1. No syncing. - ever 2. direct mode is being used, but I am online plenty with my ipad so if it were going to sync in the background it has plenty of opportunity 3. email address 4. no I hope that your updates will include making the set of clubs editable and saveable along with being able to see all of the clubs. And please don't limit to 14. I want a "throwaway" club for warm-up purposes and if I am letting someone else use the unit.

        Yeah, we're looking at that. Club Management is next on my list to tackle.

        Just to be clear, to sync your data at a later time after using direct mode, you still need to open the app (with an internet connection). Just want to make sure you didn't think it was going to sync in the background with the app closed.

          Thanks. No I have opened the app and it just sits there. I did at one time have login issues so I went the route of deleting the app and reinstalling it. I will let you know if that helps when I have some shots after the reinstall. `

            1 syncs fine
            2 when using direct mode and then connecting later non of the shots are synced
            3 custom
            4 had one before because of my sky caddie

              1. Not at all, only data I have is from one day in February

              2. I am currently using Network mode, use to use Direct mode

              3. Custom username

              4. No

                1. Never been able to sync, ever. Also lost all successfully saved app Session History upon upgrade to 1.7
                2. Direct mode only now, and an initial Network Mode session during setup at home, where I can't hit balls
                3. Custom Username, which is the same one as the one I have always used, as far as I know
                4. Yes, Club SG/Sky360 account prior to SkyTrak, from both SGX SkyCaddie and a SkyPro

                Have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice over the last two weeks, and cleared the app cache, all to no avail. Still no syncing. Also cannot create Network Mode session using the iPhone 6+ Hotspot, which would really help!

                Also, please re-enable the ability to delete shots from within the app, which was supposedly only temporarily removed to fix the syncing issues, but has never been restored over the last 4 months.

                Please also lock the header labels on the Session History so when more than 12 shots exist, they don't scroll off the screen, when you are looking for the averages, and can take more useful screenshots.

                    The "No Syncing Anonymous Club!" will begin a 12 Step Recovery Program hosted by SkyGolf360, just as soon as they can find all our missing data! ;-)

                    Sorry. I just couldn't help myself. Got to keep our sense of humor in these trying times...

                      Well I'll be...
                      Sync started working last night. First time in 4 months. Didn't change a thing. Happy to have it work but a bit spooked out that it started working after I posted here.

                        For those of you unable to sync, can you please let me know asap:

                        1) Did you have your unit before 1/1/2015
                        2) Device Type (iPad Air, etc)
                        3) iOS version (8.1, etc)
                        4) Are you on your home router/network?
                        5) Are you always just stuck on "Waiting to Sync" at the top? (just FYI, to sync you need to be signed into the app and connected to the internet, then just sit on the app dashboard. Unit doesn't even need to be on)

                          Can you please be more specific about sync now working?
                          Are all your prior unsynced sessions now synced or only new Network Mode sessions? Are any prior Direct Mode sessions now synced, or only prior Network Mode sessions? Can you now conduct a Direct Mode session and get it to sync after?
