  • SkyTrak Data Sync

    Hi all,

    I'm working on the next app update which is going to fix all of the sync, database, sorting, and display issues. It's been hard to pinpoint because some of you are syncing fine, some are inconsistent, and some are not able to sync at all. To help me speed things along, can you please report back here and let me know:

    1) Syncing fine/inconsistent/not at all

    2) Are you using direct mode and syncing later or network mode and syncing as you go?

    3) Is your SkyGolf360 (and SkyTrak app) login name your email address, or is it a custom username?

    4) Did you have a SkyGolf360 (clubsg) account before you bought SkyTrak?

    Just got my Skytrak yesterday. Had a devil of a time to get it to sync with my iPad mini 2. Called technical service and spent 30 minutes talking to someone who knew nothing about Skytrak (every time I asked a question he put me on hold - obviously to ask someone who knew more). Eventually told me the Skytrak expert would call me back - never happened. So I called again. This time spoke to someone who passed me onto another agent, who knew what he was talking about and got me up & running in 30 seconds. Summary - I agree technical service needs an overhaul.....

      rickbw, can you share with rest of us still unable to sync what did the agent tell you to do to get you up & running in 30 seconds? thanks.

        Just to be clear, I should have used the term "connect" to my ipad mini 2. Perhaps I am confusing things by saying sync. The solution to get the Skytrak connected was to reset it with a pin underneath the Skytrak. Sorry if I confused the issue.

          I am one of the early buyers of Skytrak. I had a problem in syncing since the version 1.80 (as far as I remember). It didn't bother me much because it was not my primary concern at that time.
          Yesterday, I just followed a tip to fix the issue: Uninstalling and reinstalling the app. After that, syncing data has happened correctly. Even though the previous data disappeared, it is okay with me as long as I know it will sync data from now on.

              I set up at my summer home. I'm Syncing? I have complained, but I'm on board, it is a great product when it works as advertised.

                Crazy. Just so you all know, we have a dedicated team looking at all the back-and-forth behind the scenes and will get to the bottom of this issue. It's so difficult to pinpoint because of how inconsistent it has been.

                  All I know is that if I uninstall and reinstall, it works every time. After a day or so, it reverts back to not working.

                I don't know why it started to work perfectly? Maybe a network or firewall issue. I had the same issues as mhage at my other house. Really ticked me off to lose a days worth of practice data. When it works like advertised it is an incredible Launch Monitor compared to the price of a GC2. I've ordered and cancelled 2 GC2 s this month. I am now beyond the 30 day return period. I am hanging in there with Skytrak. Without this forum support and Seth, I would have sent it back. It seems my sync issues are network compatibility at the user end?
                Skytrak has to address the automated chat and support system. Again, Thanks for response Seth.

                  I'm noticing that some sessions don't end and the hours rack up (session from this afternoon still has the clock rolling with no way to stop it?). after reinstall it worked to sync this session, we'll see what happens...

                    I am having the same issue. It will do an initial sync and then it's not working.

                      Hey guys, I have the same sync issues. It worked fine for the first few days other than it showing that my sessions where 6-8 hours long when it was really 1 hour.
                      I was using it in network mode in the beginning. When I took it to the range for the first time ( not enough space at home to swing a driver) I tried to use it in direct
                      mode and it took me about 5-6 times restarting the ipad and skytrak until it finally connected (30 min. later) I have been using skytrak since about 4 weeks now and about
                      one week ago it stopped syncing completely. It tries the whole time but it never actually syncs .
                      I have another question I'm sure you guys can help me with. In the APP when you open the window with Statistics and History there is another "button" which says
                      clubs but it is disabled in my APP. Anybody know what it is and why it might be disabled ? I did purchase the game improvement package with my skytrak. I was under
                      the impression that this gives me access to all the features.

                        HI Sascha1818, The Club Feature has been disabled and hopefully it will become available at some later date.

                        Should the sync mean I can see my historic data on any device I login to?

                        I captured some shots last night on pc and cannot see them on my ipad. I captured some shots on the ipad and cannot see them on my pc. Both say they are fully syncd.

                          You have picked up on a thread that was over 1.5 years old but I think the answer is not necessarily, they are discussing syncing the ST with a skygolf online account that is part of the game improvment package where your data is compiled if you have such an account set up. Maybe you realized this but I was under the impression you we thinking just a sync between devices like I cloud does. In this case the ST unit sync's the data to your online account and it is available from anywhere you can log in from.. Some one please correct me if I am off track...
                          Just jumped on board with a SkyTrak August 2015 for my birthday present to myself.
