    Fired up SkyTrak, Initial Thoughts

Simulator room is almost complete, but I just couldn't wait any longer. My brother stopped by and we fired up the new SkyTrak yesterday. Did direct connect to an iPad Air2, very easy set up. Started with a pitching wedge and my shots were a little short (125 yard club for me). After adjusting for local altitude, humidity and hitting a decent golf ball my distances were right on. We banged balls for 2 hours and had a great time with this device. It will definitely help your swing, pick out the proper golf ball, make sure shafts are proper flex, etc. We got instant feedback on all our experiments, screen refresh had very little delay.

Very promising first session with SkyTrak!

What did you change your values to? And which iPad were you using?

So were any of your Direct Mode shots saved and now still viewable in the Session History on your iPad?
Do any of your Direct Mode shots now appear in SkyGolf360.com after syncing?
For syncing to occur, you only need to open the app when the iPad is later connected to the internet through WiFi.

I live in Atlanta 1,050 altitude and 85% humidity, iPad2. I did not try to sync, thanks for the tip...

Even without syncing, your Session History in the app should still contain all the shots from a Direct Mode session. Alas, no one has been able to successfully get that part to work. The syncing won't work either, but if it does, please tell us.

Thanks Gashirk! Yeah, you definitely need to adjust for your local environmental conditions! Glad you got that sorted. Update with database/sync stuff fixed is coming very soon.

I have had lots of practice with the Skytrak and I must say its very accurate. I would agree with others that the horizontal measurement is the weakest part of its measurement due to the technology. That's no different than the GC2. I test it against the ProTee horizontal cameras and it's good. The occasional 1 in 50 shot is off but the tolerance published is about right. What's next is how the captured data is translated to an appropriate ball flight. The latest range software is much better. The algorithms in E6 are good and th distances are accurate. More imulators software options will come!
