SkyTrak app working on my iPhone 6 Plus

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I got the SkyTrak app working on my iPhone 6 Plus, which is awesome since I can return the iPad I bought just for the SkyTrak, and it since I had the iPad Mini 3, my iPhone 6 Plus is much faster and smoother. It also happens that my data was actually synced to SkyGolf 360, which only happened once for me before, and I have gotten it to sync multiple times today. It will also make it much easier if I want to take my SkyTrak with me such as to the driving range, so I don't have to carry a tablet with me.

If anyone wants to learn how to do this, feel free to ask, though it does require some work. There is another app you can use though on your iPhone as well.

Thanks for clarifying, So the current Skytrak screen doesn't fit well on the iPhone? It's hard to tell from your screen shot above. I have some apps that run on both iPhone and iPad, and as you suggested, some of them were clearly desgined for one but not the other. Some iPhone specific apps looked funny on the iPad, the dimension and resolution seemed a little off; however, that usually doesn't affect the functionality. I don't think Skytrak has the time or resource to come out with an iPhone customized version soon, but maybe just to make the current version available on the iPhone anyway for those of us who are willing to live with the screen limitation. Really we'll only be using it on those rare occasions when we don't feel like carrying around the iPad. It would also be useful for those who don't want an iPad and are still waiting for the PC and Android versions.

It does fit well, pretty much some of the loading screens aren't full widescreen but the parts that matter like the range aspects fit perfectly, and also one thing I really like is that it actually syncs with SkyGolf 360 everytime I've used my iPhone with SkyTrak, versus back when I used an iPad it only synced once and that was back in February.

Also if you don't like the smaller screen, including the iPad being smaller, obviously many people have mentioned connecting them to a TV or monitor via HDMI, but if you have a Mac, you can use QuickTime and use that to stream your iPhone/iPad screen on that screen, and also there is similar software for Windows so you could use your laptop screen.

I'm guessing this could work for an iPhone 5s as well, correct ?

Edit: I think I'm sol on this. Just watched your tutorial video and you stated you need a Mac. So this won't work from a windows PC ?

No, though if your iPhone is jailbroken, you could email yourself the app, and use someone else's mac and/or go to the Apple Store and quickly do it.

Unfortunately I have iOS 8.3 and from what I read I now can't downgrade to any other jailbreakable version. So I guess I'm stuck waiting until they jailbreak 8.3!

HTTR I watched your video and everything ran just like it. I rebooted the phone multiple times but the App does not appear on the phone. When i ssh the phone I see the directory golfinternal.app on it. I have an jailbroken Iphone6+ with ios 8.1.2 and used an macbook pro with yosemite. My SKYTRAK is on the way and i really want to get this working as i dont have an ipad.

I finally figured out what the problem was. With IOS 8.1.2 a problem exists with Cydia and appsync. Once I figured out this was the problem I uninstalled and than reinstalled appsync. The Skytrak app is now on the iphone and working fine.

Awesome, if you can take a second and like the video, cool thing is that it can apply to an iPad app so other golf apps that are only for iPad can work on the iPhone as well...but yeah I have had much better time with my iPhone 6 Plus:

-Don't have to buy an iPad just for SkyTrak
-Data actually snycs
-iPhone 6 Plus is faster than iPad Mini 3

HTTR I liked your video. I got my SkyTrak today and it worked perfectly on my iphone 6+. The delay was not that bad 3-4 secs and the accuracy seemed very good. Very happy customer so far. Cant wait to get some golf course software working with it.

I have a PC. Any thoughts or suggestions as to how to get the skytrak app on my phone without a mac using itelepod?

Worst case, I can ask my buddy who has a MAC, but what a pain, there's gotta to be a way.

Yeah I've been meaning to bump this thread since I got an Apple Watch and lost my jailbreak, but 2 weeks ago when the jailbreak came out I got it back; for another iPhone (5 I think) I was able to change the plist file; if you go to the link below, you can see what I am talking about, if you use iFile or SSH into your iPhone and go to the SkyTrak app, you will see in the plist file that it is only for iPad so it has the value 2, but if you change it to 1; then to add the app to your iPhone, don't use iTunes, but use one of the ipa installing apps, and add the app through there and install it

I did that (opened file in winrar and used plistset and changed the 2 to a 1 and saved it. My problem is not having a mac saving it to my phone.

I have appsync loaded and appcake too, but when I go to use WINSCP to ssh into my phone, I can't seem to find the right directory.

I've spent hours with no luck. I was able to put the file in a directory for appcake and can see it under "imported", but when I put in the downloaded folder (I even downloaded a file to enusre it was the right directory), it doesn't show. So I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Edit, so finally was able to get the app on my phone using WINSCP and use the imported/download folder in appcake. Now that the app is on my phone, when I go to open it up, I'm being asked for my itunes login and password and then the app just shuts down.

So I would download the app fresh again, and then make sure all you change is that one value in the plist file, and then try installing it again...make sure to delete that app before doing this process again

Ok, so messed around again this morning. Re-Downloaded the app, did everything correctly, even went back and verified the 2 was changed to 1.

Still asking me for my username and pass, then app crashes. I'm using and iphone 6 (shouldn't matter that it's not a 6+ still has the same processor as the ipad mini with retina).

Question, the line number is 73 - is there another line number in the file to change too? Or just that line number?

Hello, been following this thread very closely since I've had the Skytrak since April and did not want to purchase an Ipad just for it since simulation and pc integration is "COMING VERY SOON". Anyways just wanted to share what worked for me to get the Skytrak app on my jailbroken Iphone 5s. After searching all night last night I stumbled on this link- http://iosgods.com/topic/3813-tutori...-with-appcake/ and within 5 minutes i have skytrak up and running on my phone. Hope it helps someone else who is stuck.
