SkyTrak app working on my iPhone 6 Plus

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I got the SkyTrak app working on my iPhone 6 Plus, which is awesome since I can return the iPad I bought just for the SkyTrak, and it since I had the iPad Mini 3, my iPhone 6 Plus is much faster and smoother. It also happens that my data was actually synced to SkyGolf 360, which only happened once for me before, and I have gotten it to sync multiple times today. It will also make it much easier if I want to take my SkyTrak with me such as to the driving range, so I don't have to carry a tablet with me.

If anyone wants to learn how to do this, feel free to ask, though it does require some work. There is another app you can use though on your iPhone as well.

Forgot to mention that I used WinRar to change the plist integer to 1 instead of 2 then placed the .ipa file into var/mobile/documents folder via FileZilla and followed the tutorial the rest of the way. Hoping to get some swing in to check it out tonight!

Ok, so not sure what I did/didn't do, but after I installed ifile and went into appcake and re-downloaded/installed the app.

All is good!!!

There's a bit of flicker on the screen on the right side. I don't have my unit as I lent it out to our pro to do some driver fittings (what a nice guy I am!!!).
I'll be able to test it next week, seems that I can't get into the settings and change altitude and humidity.

Got my ST back yesterday and hit balls at the net using my iPhone 6 (not a 6+).

Worked Great and actually is faster than the ipad min with retina I bought for $300 (wishing now I could take it back).

Seth......... Why isn't there an iphone version? It fits great on my 6 and obviously on a 6+ too.

This again seems to be another fail on Skygolfs app dev team.

Alot of people (including myself) had/have an ipad 2 that was great for what I needed and a newer iphone.
Because of no iphone app, I have a buy a piece of tech that now I don't even need and only used it for the skytrak app.

At first I was 100% on board with ST. I like others am getting really frustrated and very annoyed with the lack of progress.

Just an FYI for anyone that has the Skytrak app on their Iphone and wanted to update it without going through the hassle of changing the device family integer, the new updated app has 1 and 2 in the plist file. Which I'm assuming means the new app is compatible with Iphones without the need to jailbreak? I was able to update the app without changing anything and just update it from the app store. Can anyone check to see if the app is available on a non jailbroken Iphone?

Nope, I just looked - I can find SkyTrak App on my iPad, but if I switch to iPhone only it does not appear. Also, when I look for it on my iPhone 5 it does not appear for download even though the App for iPad says it's compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus?

Sky Golf - can you do something about this?

It's the way that the App was uploaded into the Apple App Store... It's a lot more attractive knowing I could run SkyTrak on my iPhone 5 at my local course and not have to drag along my iPad. Or, if it requires me to upgrade to iPhone 6, I'm more likely to consider purchase of ST knowing I can run the app on my phone.

Hey Guys, just looked and yes the app is in iphone store.

I was even able to load it onto a 4S (just for testing purposes).

I even checked on my wifes phone and it's 100% in the iPhone App Store.

No need to Jailbreak any more. Thanks Seth. Sim would be nice.......E6 or Perfect Golf - Updates?

Yup - also tested on my iPhone 6 and works well attached to a external source. (see the screenshot attached - my phone is in the bottom right corner). Shot registration is just as quick as on the iPad/and the new version).

Yes, it's there today in the iPhone store, great! No more need to jailbreak!

Just tried it on the Iphone 5. It had about a 15 second delay. I like the option of being able to use it.

Great Maze, thanks for that! So, it would be 15 seconds on everything, even chipshots?

Does that mean you have to wait 15 secs between every shot for it to record every shot, or can you hit away, and at the end have all of your shots? Did you use it outdoors (on range), or inside in your sim?

I only hit 5 shots about midnight. All 8Is I waited in between shots. And I was in the sim. I would bet the delay will be much better with the 6+. I'll steal my wife's and let you know. Also I had it running the projector with HDMI which I think slows down the reading. But its another option. SkyTrak has won me over. its beginning to become a great product, I can't wait for future enhancements.

brettster..mazenblue is using an iphone 5, the delay will bad due to the slow core processor in the phone.

For best results use skytrak with an iphone 6 or 6+. My delay on the 6 is way better than the delay on my ipad mini 2 w/retina.

Downloaded the app onto my 5s and was pleasantly surprised as to how it worked, but yes the data is small! I didn't hook up to the projector but will do at a later time and see if that slows the delay. I didn't think the delay was bad at all, most of the time the shot was rendered before I could place the ball back onto the laser dot. Good things seem to be coming and hopefully Sim soon!
