My SkyTrak came today with e6

... Golf balls that is. Pretty excited this thing came so fast. And $400 off for a tiny little scratch on the front is a steal!

One thing I did notice, the manual says I have 30 days to register the unit, and that is done through the iPad app. I don't have an iPad that works so I'll have to wait until the PC version is released. Does that mean I won't be able to register the unit ?

Well the only thing it's being used for right now is a paper weight. No iPad to run skytrak so it'll just be sitting on the desk looking pretty until a PC or iPhone app.

So glad you posted this thread thanks for the heads up. I ordered a scratched one too. for 1700 i said what the heck. felt like such a steal after hearing quotes for the gc2. Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as you. No iPad and no software until pc or iphone. I paid for 2 day shipping bc I want to stare at it.

Guess I'm gonna have to settle for e6 instead of TGC

Mine's on the truck for delivery today. Unfortunately the person I bought the iPad from decided to wait an extra day to ship it and will arrive on Saturday to my office, of course that means I now have to wait until Monday for it.

I'm tempted to visit the Apple store down the street from my office this afternoon. lol

No problem, mine came in yesterday, but I'll be offshore until the 12th so I have to wait regardless. Hopefully they have the PC software done by then. Shouldn't take too long to build my computer, have everything piled in the corner of my home office.

I have apple TV and an old iphone laying around can I use that only or do you still need an iPad and apple tv?

I made a video in another thread, but if you jailbreak your iPhone, you can run the app on your iPhone, other than that, you can't, since it is technically an iPad app.

i got mine today as well after debating gc2, protee somewhat, for the last 6+ months. the scratch on the front is barely noticeable so i had to pull the trigger. similar situation and waiting for PC/variant as others, i have 2 ipad2's and galaxy tabs, etc, but no newer ipad, so waiting...

interestingly enough, they didn't ship the bridgestone e6's, but they might be coming separately, not sure...
