Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

I really like the putting on TGC. My battle is that my CCE hitting strip has some camber now from over use causing inaccurate azimuth readings from time to time. As far as green speeds go I find them to be accurate to early season golfing in the pacific north west. I also find that putting in TGC has improved lag putts IRL, resulting in less 3 putt on the course. Give it a little time to get use to and concentrate on speed of putt, and like others say play more break. Also, as others have said before a good guideline for speed of putt is for every inch of elevation difference there is equate that to 1 foot for hitting speed; a 20' putt with -5" play it as 15' putt, for a 25' putt with +5" play it as a 30' putt.

The interface for everything except Skytrak has the ability to change the putting speed. Protee said they are going to add it to the Skytrak interface. My Courses:

Hi everyone..My first post here.. I got the sky trak and am quiet happy with it . Now ready to take the plunge with TGC. Had a query for protee about installation of TGC. Is it possible to install the TGC on two PCs and use it with One sky trak .. As I have 2 practice locations and would prefer to install it on PCs rather than carry a laptop, Thanks

Purchased my Skytrak this week. Should be here Tuesday. Plan on purchasing TGC on Monday so when I get home I can become a ghost to my wife. I ordered the Net Return as well through Skygolf, have a feeling that won't be here in time (still no shipping info) but I will figure something out! I'll worry about an impact screen and projector down the road when the burn to my wife of this purchases heals. I plan on trying to qualify, but I'm confused on how that works. Can someone point me in the direction to learn more?
Looking foreward to sharing my experience!

I asked SkyGolf chat if I bought TGC today if I would get the license from TGC and they said I would, and I ended up buying it and it downloaded really fast with my network and I submitted my information to TGC and have yet to get the download link?

Hello all,
Is anyone else having issues with flop shots?
I seem to be having a ton of 18-45 yard lob wedge shots when approaching the green that just don't register and also quite a few putts as well.
Since I am still new to TGC / ST I'm not sure if there is something I am not doing correctly but I am trying to gear up for some online play however the lack of these shots registering is really taking a toll (in the negative way) on my starting out TGC handicap score.
There are several occasions per round when I am taking up to 4-5 shots to get the system to register a flop towards the pin.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have tried that as well. I just find that 2 of my wedges just don't seem to get picked up. 64 and 59 degree wedges.

I have a 54, 58, 62 and rarely have misreads. I put mine as close to the red dot either in front or behind but no one the dot. I have unfortunately had more misreads on my putting lately. Generally I place my putts about a quarter to half inch in front of the red dot to where my putter basically sits right on top of the dot.

Yea ive had these issues at times too. Wish I knew exactly what causes it and what the skytrak camera sees because sometimes it goes great and reads all my shots throughout the round perfectly without fail and then the next I may get that odd chip or putt that I have to hit 2 or 3 times for it to read. Most of the time it is pretty good at registering though.
Its also weird that it seems to happen much more for my dad then myself and Ill grab his wedge and hit the same shot and it will register. He does hit a lot more SW and LW shots whereas ive gotten very used to chipping with my gap wedge and the lower launching angle of that is usually good to go. Almost starting to think it may be in part because he'll play with shorts on more than I do (im usually in dark sweatpants) and he might need to tan up his legs a bit to not mess with the camera readings haha.
Is there any single picture out there floating around of what the skytrak actually sees in the pictures it takes? Im guessing not, not sure why skytrak is so secretive about showing that

You maybe on to something with the shorts and the lack of a tan!
I'll try a round tomorrow with pants and see if I get better results. I've read that someone has their ST about an inch above their mat as well I may give that a go to see if the response has improved.
-
Pants didn't make a difference. I did get more reads though with the unit about 3/4 of an inch higher than the mat but any type of quick high lofted shot seems to get missed quite frequently. I started using my 7 to chip instead of flopping. Dropped 7 strokes...

I had tried moving the unit up a bit above the top of mat and did get slightly better results. It seems to make some sense given you would get better (wider) field of vision if you're higher up (i.e., like sitting up high on a SUV), but the key is to not make it too high such that the laser becomes too far away from the unit that it starts to make the ball too small in picture (or affect picture quality) creating even more misreads instead.

Haha go figure, we all like playing those high/flop shots but not until I got the simulator that I realized how unnecessary they are most of the time for scoring well. And that's good to know, originally thought of the pants thing as being a joke but was curious after hearing about the different objects that could look bright to the camera. I'll have to try moving up the skytrak a bit, was going to but didn't want to mess with anything when everything else was reading wellOriginally posted by Sledge0001 View PostPants didn't make a difference. Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem. I have my skytrak all setup, I click on the skytrak interface icon, connect the box (direct connect) click play, select my course, ect. Then when it is time to tee off, The Skytrack is not going into ready mode.....I think it wants me to play with my mouse. Not sure what to do.

I would try to use it in Network Mode and use it with Wi-Fi.Originally posted by rsuslow View PostHey guys, I seem to be having a problem. Not at this time unfortunately. That is supposed to be included in the next update from what I've read however. No one knows when that update will come, it's currently delayed due to bugs that popped up in testing.Originally posted by JMoUnderPar View PostGood day all, I'm new and just got both ST and TGC..... Maybe you guys can answer this for me. Is there a way to jump to a section of a course without having to play the previous holes... for example can you jump to hole 11 of Magnolia without having to play 1-10
To answer your particular question about Amen Corner though... Search "ks man corner" in the course search menu and you can play just Amen Corner only if that's something you're wanting to do. It's a good way to quickly play a few famous holes with friends. You can also play the back 9 only at Sawgrass and Magnolia National as well.Last edited by Vincent_Vega; 04-14-2016, 04:59 PM.
