New Skytrak user getting weird results

I just figured out I can upload the pics if I lower it down to 2.4 MB on my phone.

I just tried a noodle long and soft and hit my PW 137. that's a relief seems like it is spin related. I am new to launch monitors and am still learning about how all the numbers effect the trajectory.

Swing speed is way lower and distance is way further. Crazy what spin can do. Launch angle is the same.

I did notice that when using noodle ball my club speed is calculated around 70 mph and with prov1x it is around 88 mph. Both using PW in the same environment. Ball being the only variable. I think Skytrak has a long way to go on their formulas.

Don't worry about swing speed. Ball speed is only thing that matters. Spin is kinda high and launch is high too for a pitching wedge. I've always been told a easy rule of thumb is launch angle is around half the club loft. 47* pitching wedge is around 23.5* launch angle. And around 10,000 back spin. Those are usually tour numbers but if you hit a pitching wedge over 135 they that's a big wedge. Now all swings are different but that's a good starting point. You shots look like they ballooning a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. I have only been golfing for 2 years and I have fallen deeply in love with this challenging game.


I think I need to get fitted for some new clubs. I'm using a set of Calloway x20 that my uncle gave me and unfortunately they have graphite shafts. I think I like steel shafts better but have never been fitted by a professional.

I am going to try and work on delofting my club at impact To get more consistent distance with my scoring wedges.

Don't change your swing. Get fitted for irons. You'll probably need a true temper x100 or project x 6.5 depending on your swing desired ball flight. Go see a professional fitter. Your ballooning from the graphite shafts, they probably to weak of a flex for you.

I Think you are 100% right abut the shafts being too weak for my swing. I'm gonna go get fitted next week by a professional on a track man outdoors. Thank you
