Skytrak in the UK?

I am looking to get a launch monitor for under £5000 and am really interested in the Skytrak but they do not sell in the Uk yet. Has anyone in the Uk got one and if so does it work well over here?

I'm in the process mate of trying to goet one over here, the only problem is that the app isn't on the UK store but within 10 minutes last night it up a U.S. Store account on iTunes and had the app. At the moment you can get the special offer for $1700 which is about £1100. If I manage to get sorted mate I'll let you know.

Got mine from the US yesterday. Bought an iPad Mini 3 but as stated in previous post SkyTrak app not available on UK iTunes store. With a bit of searching found out how to get US iTunes account and got app without too much of a problem.

The only other problem is the UK import taxes which you will have to pay, but it's still cheaper than the alternatives currently available.

Have tried it a couple of times and so far the results are very good. Only problem I'm having is syncing my practice session to SkyGolf account because I am away from my home wifi network. Have tried using wifi to connect SkyTrak to iPad and then Bluetooth to connect iPad to Android phone for internet but I haven't managed to sync as of yet.

I could order the unit with a help from my friend in the US. But if there's some problems with the unit, it would be too complicated to have it replaced or fixed..

Maybe the username "SkyTrak" can give some info if there are any plans to sell the unit and the app in Europe?

warranty is only 6 months / 25000 shots anyway
UK price will be the dollar price so save yourself a bundle.
From what i'm gathering nothing moves very fast in this space so you could have yourself a very long wait.
This Austrian site http://golfsimulator.kaufen/skytrak/ quotes September 2015 - they previously quoted May or June so not sure how much trust you can place in the September date. Also 2700 Euro is significantly more than 2k dollars.

I imported a Personal Pro to Australia, from USA. Sometimes if you want to play you got to pay, and take a chance.

Didnt see it as much of a risk to be honest Skytrak support this forum 2nd to none and I'm sure would help you anyway they can even in the UK.

It's all very well them offering software support on the forum - but imagine you end up with a hardware fault. You'd have to send it back to the USA for repair and then likely pay the re-import charges again. Hence why it's taking a risk. I realise it's a small risk, but I've received electical goods in the past that haven't switched on!

I've had mine in the UK since February, works great.

As far as risk goes, you do have to find your way around the US iTtunes store, as mentioned above, and the software license (in the Skytrak box) does specifically state that it's not licensed to anyone purchasing outside the US. Works just fine, though...

I'm not a Customs expert, but, my understanding is that if you send goods you own to be repaired and they are returned, that is not an import, and therefore there would be no re-import duties due. If I ever had that situation, it would make sense to be able to prove that you had previously purchased the item.

I have an online golfing buddy (optishot) he lives in the UK and he bought a skytrak off of ebay. I've been watching the seller and they are listed for $2,090.00 Pretty good price for the skytrak for UK and overseas.

He is a **** (fill them in as you wish) just making money off people who can't get in the UK and he is a member here and hope he reads this.

I asked questions about the unit and he replied if I wasn't interested in buying don't waste his time.

I had a friend who has family in the U.S. And it cost me just over £1000 for mine but your choice.

You can pay from UK but U.S. Shipping only as I did but he was visiting the week after.
