Android Update Avaiable?

For the last few months whenever I launch the skytrak range software on my android devices, I get a message saying software update is available. But when I hit yes, it brings me to the play store and it says the last update was last October for 4.1 and I have nothing to update.

Anyone know if there is actually something to to upgrade?

I'm still on 4.1 BTW and I know my pc has 4.2 out.

i get the same thing. no fix yet that i've seen
