  • Use Tilted Epoxy Glass to Protect Your SkyTrak

After someone hitting my Skytrak 3 times and spending more than 1K for repair. I found tilted epoxy glass is the way to protect it. See my picture.

Why not buy the metal cage at that point?

Why not avoid shanking the ball into the unit?

Well, the metal one sold by Skytrak doesn't cover the dark glass. Ball can still hit it. In terms of "why not avoid shanking", how can you prevent a beginner from shanking?

I thought that was the whole reason some people turned it backwards or ditched it entirely - the metal sometimes partially obscuring the camera and increasing misreads.

My unit doesn't work well in the metal case. I get random blinking on and off of the ready light. Had to abandon it. Does the plexiglass not interfere with the camera?
