Sorry I've been missing as of late. I've been working non-stop on this and a few other things in the pipeline. That means over weekend and holidays, so I've been completely under water. If you all can hang in there, a TON of new stuff to come soon.
Any news on this being approved yet?
Do you have a list of what has been added/ changed in the update?

I'll get some release notes together...but it's been an unusually long time for the app to even get into the review process (still waiting). I'm fearing this has to do with Apple's new 64-bit requirement and they are probably up against a backlog. Sigh.....

So there is an enclosure available from ST? What about protecting the IR lens, is that addressed?Originally posted by SkyTrak View PostGreat write up! If these two items are not addressed what do you mean addresses all of your cons?

Seth I have a question about 360 Golf. Will the 360 Golf app reflect the same club data as the SkyTrak? For example I hit 3 different 8 irons 10 shots each, but when it syncs to 360 Golfs it just shows 30 8 iron shots. Will it delineate the 8 irons as the monitor does? As you can tell from my other posts I'm a fan. SkyTrak is going to be second to none.

Turfwar, did you read the rest of this thread, or only the last page? The other posts in this thread speak about the IR lens being delicate and scratchable, and about having an 'official SkyGolf' enclosure to protect the unit so it doesn't get damaged by a shanked ball hitting it, here's an example of one of the posts:Originally posted by TurfWar View PostI found your post rather confusing. Care to expand?
> The other issue is that the IR filter (the black plastic covering the sensors) is so soft and sensitive that there is no way you can carry it in the golf bag as is without scratching the plastic.
So, I'm asking Seth, over at SkyGolf if 1.) there is an Enclosure available, and 2.) there is some way to protect the IR lens, because he said earlier that all of 'the cons' were addressed.
You have to read the whole thread, to get the context... Waiting for an answer from someone at SkyGolf?

From my initial post:
What was needed:
Ability to delete shots
Data on app shows 10 items, on the Sky Golf 360 site it shows 9 (Side angle is missing, we could do with this)
Side and top view should be plotted on a graph that suits the session, ie if hitting 100 yard shots, the graph should be 120 yards long etc (or be able to zoom in)
Centre line and 10y dispersion lines on range view
Need more clubs GW, ULW and "others"
Dispersion circle/ grouping on top view (like GC2 does)
Needs a cover, or something to at least cover the charging port (hitting off a mat can spray dirt onto the open charging port/ front, this will no doubt cause a future problem).
Should be able to hit shots with alignment mode on
Should be able to set your own "default" practice session criteria (ie elevation and temp, rather than it defaulting to 70 degrees and 500ft and having to change it every time)
Some kind of combine, like with Trackman etc
Last shot hit is shown as shot 1 (on skygolf), which is backwards. Ie the last shot hit should be 27/27, not 1/27. The shot order list is shown correct in the app, just not imported/ synced correctly online.
Corrected in 1.9:
Ability to delete shots - works well, thanks
Centre line on range view - works well, thanks
Need more clubs GW, ULW and "others" - works well, thanks
Needed ASAP (my order of priority):

Big Questions then:
1.) What other Cons have been fixed as Seth also said ALL of your Cons would be addressed with new version? Also, when you say alignment mode does not work? What? As in this part of your oriiginal post: Should be able to hit shots with alignment mode on?
2.) So, alignment mode is incompatible with hitting shots, why? Obviously alignment adjustments must be allowed to work when this is connected to TGC and other simulator software, correct?
as well as all of your other 'Needed ASAP's:

What is coming next, with the next release, or what is the timing on these other issues?
Can someone from ST / Sky Golf comment please?

And I asked a few questions, that's what a forum is used for! So, let me ask it again, since you don't seem to see the question:
--

--
Still not sure I understand Alignment mode problem, maybe you can fill me in about what exactly it is... but be careful you don't post your own reply again
I don't have ST yet, but am seriously considering it now that it has iPhone integration and I know that TGC sim play is coming.

Brettster, I read the entire thread a few times before posting therfore your assumption that I didn't was incorrect. I was slightly confused by the way you seem to ask questions but post them as statements and how you post inaccuracies such as claiming the original statement was that all of the cons had been addressed and convieniently miss out the word 'almost'. I accept that 'almost' all of the cons from the initial list haven't been adressed, but it's a very positive step in the right direction and I figure giving grief doesn't help anyones cause. Like you, I haven't pulled the trigger yet and like you I know significantly less that than those who have. I'm listening to them.
