  • Skytrak network solutions

I have a Skytrak, and when using direct mode (offline) there are no issues. When I am using network mode with TGC (online) we tend to have a lot of no reads.

i am fairly certain this has to do with the wifi signal and quality

would an Ethernet cable to the PC in USB mode be the best solution here?

skytrak is located in the garage and we have an AMPLIFI mesh point between the router and the garage, but wifi does not seem to be stable enough.

A lot of people including myself buy a USB Wi-Fi adapter so you have Internet on Wi-Fi 1 and skytrak on Wi-Fi 2. I rarely have disconnects and when I run out of battery and use a USB cord I definitely get more disconnects than using the USB Wi-Fi adapter

Ok I do have a wifi adapter, you mean to put one on the 5 GHZ band and the other on the 2.4 GHZ?

I use my integrated wifi on PC to connect to the internet and then the USB Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the Skytrak without connecting to any internet

Ok got it. We tried that and it wasn’t the best (using LTE hotspot) will need to try it with a long ethernet cable.

What about when a righty and lefty both want to play and you can’t use usb?

I'm not sure you are understanding. My connection is not wired. I use something like this (quick google search) so I can connect via wifi to the skytrak https://www.amazon.com/wifi-adapter-...-5670865?psc=1

Yes I understand, but the wifi signal in the garage is too poor! That’s why I’m suggesting an Ethernet to solve this.

Have you ever tried using skytrak in direct mode (connect the pc on wifi2 to the skytrak and wifi1 to the internet) when playing Tgc?

        direct mode works great

Yes, that's what I was saying I do. No issues using direct mode via wi-fi 2 (wireless usb wifi adapter) while playing TGC. You aren't connecting to the internet with wifi 2 so there should be no issues connecting to skytrak via wifi 2 if the PC is in the same room.
