It will be a few months before I get my hands on a SkyTrak so I'm on a quest to be able to decipher what the measured data means and how I can best use it to understand and improve my game.
If what I've read is true then 'side spin' does not exist however 'spin axis' does. So how would one turn the Skytrak side spin figure of rpm into spin axis tilt in degrees?
Here's a link to a trajectory optimizer which I'd find handy once I started using a SkyTrak but I'd need spin axis data. This could be useful for targetting specific shot data rather than discovery by trial and error.
Also, does anyone have any good sources for learning how to interpret SkyTrak data? Understanding that club fitters and coaches will make use of this device, I'm keen to gain knowledge.
Finally, I had a quick look at the Asian SkyTrak and noticed a display which suggests it might give a calculated measurement for ball height, again useful to use with the linked trajectory optimizer
