v1.9 Released

Hi Everyone,

v1.9 was just approved by Apple this evening. There are a lot of new features that we are really excited about. We are still trying to work around a few things, including Unity's recent struggle with 64-bit high-memory apps and the illusive data syncing issue with certain accounts. We have an outside team looking at this issue currently and hope to have that addressed, along with several other bugs and many new features in a soon-to-come v2.0 release.

NEW FEATURES
- Added 'Club Compare' Feature
- Added new tracer colors with club change
- Restored Delete Shot functionality
- Added Center Line to the Practice Range
- Added Center Line to Session History top-down plotting profile
- User can now choose to display Carry distance instead of Total
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and optimization

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Session History may experience display issues on larger sessions
- Some iPads still experiencing data sync problems
- Some iPads may notice distance numbers flickering during ball flight

The mountains are different!
Like the centreline, and the coloured tracers are great. Makes me bother to change clubs now.
Also the new club picker is comprehensive too.

Really happy to see club compare. That lets a tinkerer like me check out what sort of distances/spin I'm getting with different balls (and clubs)!

Did you sort out the top view scale for the range? ie with the scale going too far (475 yards I think), so we can see better dispersion on wedges etc.

Ok just downloaded version 1.9.1 and tested it. Here are some issues:
- I lost all my old shot data in app that were not synced;
- couldn't get network mode to work - reset the unit and uninstalled and reinstalled app - seems somewhat ok now but still not very stable connecting via network mode;
- shot history in my SkyGolf 360 account does not match those under 'History' in my app (last session which was done using direct mode did not seem to sync at all for some reason and there are more shots in my SkyGolf 360 account than under 'History' in my app)?

Now a couple of questions:
- How to delete shots in 'History' or must delete immediate after shot or else shot will stay in 'History' forever?
- And I think someone mentioned in another thread, why not release app as app for BOTH iPad and iPhone (given this app apparently works perfectly on jail-broken iPhone 6 and 6+)? I'd like to be able to use app on my iPhone 6 since iPhone 6 processor much faster than that of iPad Mini 2 w Retina Display so will process shots faster.

Also agree with mhage, shots are being rendered faster than in previous version of app - so great job there.

Addendum:

Figured out the superfluous shots in my SkyGolf 360 account under 'Driver' I believe might have come from the Challenges session where all shots are recorded as 'Driver'? Is this a bug?

Also there are some shots in SkyGolf 360 account that shows up under 'Unassigned' club (multiple instances of this)? Where do these come from?

And still unable to get shots from my second session of the day (using direct mode) to sync to my SkyGolf 360 account - though top of app and top of app inside session history of app both shows 'Data Synced' with a green check mark? Any thoughts on why this is not syncing?

The new updated is welcomed - Thanks!

- A couple notes:

- The login issue is now resolved (great) so no need to login to the app each time you start it.
- Shot recognition is quicker

- There are now buttons at the top to delete a shot (helpful!)

- The new "compare clubs" option is intuitive and useful.
- The wider selection of clubs is also a good addition (as someone who hits a lot of 2i/3i!)

paschmann, can you show or explain to me where is this "compare clubs" feature being talked about? I agree the new club selection menu is awesome. Thanks.

The second screenshot shows it - but basically you tap the club selector, hit a shot with e.g. PW. Then come back, open the club selector, and click the + button in the bottom right. This will add a club at the bottom of the list called "PW #1" - when you hit your next shot, the ball color will be different. In the history it will also seperate the clubs out with names like PW, PW #1, PW #2 etc.

Doublebogey - try restarting your iPad. I had difficulty connecting before doing that.

I would like to have a batch edit feature for deleting shots. I only ran through a little testing just to check it out, but I wouldn't want to have to delete shots one-by-one right after they're struck.

doublebogey - sure. DeaconBlooze, I agree - (as a app designer/developer) it would make sense to have checkboxes in the Session History screen, select a bunch of shots and Delete from there.

Or batch reassign between clubs I often forget to switch so end up with 250yd 8 irons!

Guys, appreciate the comments and suggestions. This is just a start for club management and shot deletion. Enhancements on those plus distance slider, settings saving, hardware battery indicator, sync issues, and a few more tidbits coming in v2.0 next month.

will it have any problems connecting to multiple phones? I have an ipad and Iphone that both have the app?
