  • What turf do you use for Skytrak???

I had good results on the mat I bought from p3proswing.

I started with 4x5 Dura-Pro mat from D.W. Quail golf. It was a decent mat, but I have since upgraded to a Real Feel Country Club Elite that I bought from Costco online. The Dura pro mat is 3/4 of an inch thick while the Reef Feel mat is 1 1/2 inch thick. I hit into a Net Return Pro which I like because it is silent, unlike the P3Pro projector screen which I also have. I can't hit into the projector screen at night because it wakes up my kids.

I have the country club elite as well. I purchased just the hitting strip and have cut it in half to fit into the p3pro mat. I also hit off of a jagman joe cover on the p3 and optishot.

Pulled out the optishot and put in a true strike golf mat. If you haven't hit off a true strike, you don't know what it's like hitting indoors.

Temporarily at the minute I'm using some thin fake lawn and some rubber matting underneath. It's far from ideal and pretty hard but was super cheap and quick to get hold of. I'm undecided on which mat to get yet and what I'm going to do with my swing room/ garage.

With the Real Feel Country Club Elite, is that the stuff where you can literally place a regular tee into it and will hold like in real life?

I'm using a DivotAction mat from customdesigngolf.com. I got mine with a tee insert, which I now regret. Other than that, it works well. It's a simple design, but usually that's what works the best. I cut an existing 5x5 mat to accommodate this insert, and I'm happy with it. I'd probably get another one without the tee cutout before going a different route. This is also a pretty affordable option.

I bought the 5x10 County Club Elite and have the Net Return as well. Works like a charm.

Yes, it takes a real tee and holds just fine

6x6 monster turf, super soft, no bounce and you can put a tee anywhere in it.

I also have the 6x6 monster turf. Love it (though I've only had it for about a month) and well being new to hitting at home I don't really have a whole lot to compare it to. You can put a tee in anywhere but it flies all over the place after each shot. I think I read on another post where they had a trick to make it stay..might have to go find that post.

I would like to see that as well, I spend 30 seconds digging the tee out of the net after each hit with the driver.

So this (link to post)is the post that I'm talking about and Sanha tee is what it's called. It's on Amazon. I just ordered it should have it in about a week and let you know how it works out.

I have been recommended the same Sanha tee solution by a sim business that uses them with GC2. The guys said they do break but are the best solution they had. Personally, I am not sure how this would work when you have to keep the ball on the laser dot with ST (changing from driver to irons).
I think a tee holder and the durable tee that Par2pro sells might be the best option as it would be hidden beneath the plush surface of a RealFeel mat (which I have).
I am currently using the TeeClaw system (two connected by a thin elastic thread). This keeps the tees from flying around but the claw can get damaged by a player hitting down on the claw.
Love the feeling of the Reel Feel turf but using tees indoors with it is not perfect.

Alternatively, could a tee claw work? I have not tried it, but think it might be something that I will explore with my TrueStrike.
