  • Skytrack Newbie Questions

New home sim guy. Have an R10 thinking of upgrading. Planned to grab an MLM 2 Pro, but the lack of availability and to date user feedback is making open to other options

Skytrack’s website is nails and has 0 info outside the price… can some users help me?

    1. Will this read spin axis and shot shape accurately indoors? Assume yes? Is this measured or calculated?

    2. What’s better, E6 or WGT?

    3. Any issues buying a used unit and just paying for the appropriate software subscription?

    4. Is 16’ long feet plenty of space? Assuming if it’s wide enough and tall enough to swing a club, that’s fine?

    5. Works with any ball? No stickers or markings required?

I have had a SkyTrak for about a year and a half. Spin axis, ball speed, launch angle, etc are measured photometrically to create the shot shape. I find both my shot shape and CARRY distances to be extremely accurate.

      2) I personally have TGC2019, but use the SkyTrak range more than I actually play.

      3) There is a new version of the SkyTrak coming out in the near future, so you may want to take that into account.

      4) Account for 1’ from the screen to the wall, then 8-10’ from ball to screen. Depending on your enclosure height and depth make sure you won’t hit the top of your enclosure on the follow-through.

      5) Any ball will work.

Thanks jpinkardvt ! Appreciate you confirming that. Their website is brutal. Plan to buy used, so didn’t want to badger a store.

I gave 17’ feet of usable space, so it sounds like this should work.

Spin Axis / Shot Shape are my Home and 2 concerns. Working on hitting straighter balls.

only have an iPad Pro and don’t want to get a computer right now. That’s why I’m looking at E6 or WGT.

have any big complaints about your unit?

No, diligent setup is key for maximizing the unit.
