Any ST+ and BC3/BLP users here?

Anyone have experience with both the BC3/BLP and the ST+? Thoughts on which you like better?

I bought the BLP and then second guessed myself and orderd the ST+ because they finally came in stock. Now I’ll have both and one is going back unopened for a refund.

100% of my time is outside currently (too low of ceilings in current house, military family) so I’m hitting into a golf cage and using an iPad. I know the GC3 is a superb piece of hardware but it is extremely limited with what it can do on an iPad from what I’ve seen.

I won’t be dragging a PC outside each time I practice because I hit 50-100 balls almost everyday. But it would be nice to be able to have some simulation on my iPad to break up the practice and have some fun. So I like the fact that ST+ can be used for E6 and WGT even if they aren’t as good as TGC2019 (which i own for my original Skytrak that is boxed up with all the rest of my home simulator equipment or GSPro.

But anything that makes you rotate through your bag would be nice and I don’t think there is any sim software available for the GC3/BLP and an iPad. I do love the fact that the Foresight products are considered the gold standard and rated up there as commercial grade like the Trackman.

I really want to use both but I told Playbetter that I would send one back unopened and that is the right thing to do.

    Anybody have thoughts?

Don't think twice about it. Keep BLP, send Skytrak back. Although laptops are not recommended, I would purchase one that can run FSX2020/FSX Pro, or TGC2019 or GSPro, given a dedicated PC is not viable in your circumstances.

Look very closely at what comes with the BLP. The entry level purchase price of BLP is the same as skytrak, but doesn’t include much. You get the basic subscription free for a year then it’s 249$ a year. Look at what the basic subscription package comes with. Watch videos and read reviews about the BLP and then do the same with skytrak. Figure out what features fit what you want to do and what features you want and how much you want to pay per year. These products, on their face, appear to be the same type of kit, but when you start peeling the onion, they each fit into a different niche.

GC3 is a completely different category. The BLP unlocked at a price of around $7k is equivalent to the GC3. At this price point, they are just not comparable to the skytrak. And if iPad use is important to you, are not an obvious choice.

Ultimately, you could be happy with any one of them. But if you don’t have a laptop, and don’t want to buy one, that has to be figured into the calculation.
