Skytrak and fiberbuilt question

Hey all, recently my wife bought me a fiberbuilt mat for my birthday due to some finger and elbow pain. Anyway, I installed the mat and did the most recent update at the same time. Ever since then, I am getting a lot of extra reads, like if I simply push the ball a little bit to get it closer to the red dot, it will read that as a hit, (a very poor one).

Nothing else has changed, no white shoes/ white in the background, nothing like that. It does happen both in the skytrak's own range, and in tgc2019. Wondering if the new software is juicing up the cameras? or if the mat is shinier than my last one, etc.?

The height of the ball in the new mat vs the Skytrak? The bottom of the ball should be flush with the bottom of the Skytrak.

Also, you might know this, but you can put the ball behind the red dot for less lofted clubs, and ahead of the dot for more lofted clubs (wedges). The red dot is a guideline where to put the ball; the important part is the ball after impact passing through the laser curtain/window to trigger the read (camera shots). Hope it helps.

Are you moving the ball on the laser dot? As s0707 said above, try placing the ball 1 inch behind the laser dot and see if this helps!

Just to reiterate, it isn't an no-read problem, it is a "read too often" problem. The skytrak sometimes will read a shot, just by me slowly pushing the ball towards the laser dot, or even the passing of a club anywhere in the vicinity of the dot. Black shoes, no white behind me, etc. Only started happening after updating the app and going to the fiberbilt mat. (both happened at the same time)

The skytrak and ball are the same height, or at least within the thickness of the metal case bottom. My machine has always been great, probably 1 mis/no read out of 150, can put ball on the dot, no matter the club, etc. Up until the new software/mat
