Skytrak + US versus UK pricing

Just been looking at the UK pricing for Skytrak. US $ I found one for $2995.00 UK retailing at £3000+
The Dollar conversion puts it at about £2340.00 Are we being ripped off in the UK?

Same here in Germany, skytrak+ is 3300€ what is in conversion 3500$, but the use price is only 2700$!

Why is this such a big difference? Also in the us is a5% discount what isn‘t here.

Hi everyone

In the US they don't have VAT rates.

They use a Sales tax which rate depends which US state you live in.

THe US price excl tax which is added on at purchase.

THe european price includeds VAT so the price you see is the price you pay.

so $2995.00 plus 20% vat = $3594.00

This figure is then converted to euro (today rate - €3365.00) or sterling (today rate - £2936.00)

These price don't include shipping rates which must be included and VAT charged on that too.

SO prices are not that far off.

Remember US Prices are usually excluding taxes.

Another thing that increases the price for Europe is the warranty period. In the US it is 6 months compared to 24 months in Europe. Hence the higher risk of free repairs that the dealer has to factor into the price.
