  • GS Pro still the best?

Looking to get some courses for my skytrak, is GS pro still the best to get? Still seems expensive for a game, Id only want a couple of courses, cheers

My two cents: I've got TGC2019 and love the selection of courses and ease of creating courses. I can't deny that I've had lots of fun hours playing this.

Creative Golf has great arcade games and enjoyable course play, a bit better than TGC2019. Definitely excellent for when non- or beginner golfers are around.

I've only been playing GSPro for a few weeks but love the game play. It definitely seems like a step up in overall experience (though a work in progress). Course creation looks like more of a pro job - when you play, you can tell if a course have been given good development love.

I think if I were going purely for a cool golf course experience, GSPro would take the cake.

Caveats: I suck at golf and, though my space can accommodate it, I usually play wedges through to hybrids. Each of the software packages is very enjoyable for entertaining, relaxing, and partaking in hearty refreshments.

You'll be hard pressed to find golf sim software that:
      A) Runs pretty well on a decent PC without constant freezing/crashing.
      B) Is customizable enough to allow for some seriously realistic play ball physics to arcade style play ball physics
      C) Can generate some very useful data to review
      D) Accurately represents ball flight, many programs do not.

It's $250 per year. If you golf, that's 5-6 rounds in real life.

Are any of the software options besides the one you mentioned releasing enhancements or upgrades? Seems one might win the race for that reason alone.

If you are asking me, I'd say "no". But my only experience is with the Foresight products and GSPro. Foresight products are buggy & tech support not the greatest, I wouldn't count on any upgrades getting their useability anywhere near GSPro because, in my opinion, don't have a good track record with their most recent version of FSX Play.

Been using GSPRO almost 2 years the courses and graphics are amazing. They are constantly adding new features. But one negative for me is course design. I have designed courses in TGC 2019 and although not easy I could through it. GSPRO is extremely difficult. Way to many steps takes a lot of work. For me it's way too much time and steps.

I only ran Skytrak briefly (maybe a month or so) and have since used Eye XO. Stability has been great for me - I'd say better than most PC games. I've had to occasionally tweak the video setting only for Creative Golf to eliminate some choppiness.

In my short time with GSPro, I've been lucky to have no freezing/crashing.

I get the impression that all of the sim software developers (except probably TGC2019) have stepped up their development/update games lately. I've assumed this to be from things like post-covid manpower stabilization, an increased client base, and fiercer competition from products like GSPro.
