Skytrak Dodgy Micro USB

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions..I have had my skytrak for about 4 years. Over the past 12 months the micro usb port for charging the unit has been temperamental. I can wiggle it sometimes & get it to charge but other times I have to give up.
anyone any suggestions. I am based in Ireland
