SkyTrak and WGT

Hi all,

I have seen many people asking about skytrak and WTG and it seems like that the people who are beta testing TGC and E6 have never
played or tested WTG. It seems like nobody in this forum has tested it. There is no videos ... nothing. But from what I keep hearing
skytrak is coming out with WTG first...? Is there anybody who has some more detailed info or talked to somebody who tested it ?
I'm only interested cause I'm pretty sure it will be the cheapest of all versions and to test it out it would be that big of an investment.
I own a skytrak since about 5 month and can't wait for course play. The problem is I'm on the road a lot so I will not be able to play
on a regular basis. That's why TGC ,even that it seems to be the best choice, doesn't make much sense if it's going to be a monthly
prescription. Really hope to get some infos or even videos about skytrak with WTG.

I'm using an ipad air and it connected on the second try. I uninstalled the app once, then retried and it sat there for a minute until it connected.

So my ipad mini 2 w.retina shows shot display when I'm at the range or hitting net at my course in 3 - 4 secs.

On the WGT sim, it's close to 10 - 12 secs. I'm going to test with my phone and see how much faster it is.

SkyTrak_Seth has this been confirmed on all ipad mini 2's?

I was going to sell after the iphone app came out, but I like it for the range, the phone is to small.
Although at home, I airplay to my projector so the phone is fine at home, until I get a call or text.

Played for around 2 hours now. 3 if you count the time it took me to get it set up. I forgot that skytrak won't connect in network mode using an IP address of 10.0.1.x. I can't remember which post that was from but thought I'd repeat it here.
I switched to a 192.168.2.x subnet and it joined immediately. Once that problem was solved it took about 3-5 minutes for WGT to connect to the skytrak but once it did the fun commenced. I just let it sit there in connecting status and it finally joined.
The shot delay was similar to what others were seeing. Around 3 seconds on an iPad air 2. I also can't remember any non registered shots so that was also a plus.
Can't wait for a full round to be available and for TGC to get implemented but this has ruined my weekend football plans. I'll just have to move another TV into the sim room so I can swing while watching haha.

Ir's addictive is all I'll say..........so on my iphone 6, the delay is about 3-4 secs. Significantly faster than the ipad mini 2.

Yes, you'll need to wait and let it connect, seems to take 2 plus minutes to complete the handshake.

In WGT I can't even seem to get past the putting training - asked to "move your aim to left of the cup" and it doesn't work so stuck?

Ok, so you need to move the the circle with the arrow inside the yellow ring, then it will go green. Then putt

Ok, after busting SKY TRAKS balls here I think I will buy this... it seems I would be best getting an IPAD Air 2 for the SIM game ?

@seth, Please don't take this the wrong way, i love what you guys have done and we skytrak Users are miles ahead of where we were 2 days ago. And it was mensioned many times before but i have to say it again,without you i'm sure more then 50% of us would have send there ST back or never bought it. We really value your Support. So this is not a complain but a idea of improvement. Would it be possible for WTG to add a club selection before every shot so they would be able to generate club stats in the profile? That would be awesome!!!!!

Working for me too. Very very entertaining to be playing some indoor play rather than practice.
Only problem is that now those less that good shots have a consequence again!
Took me till the second round to realize I had to think about wind.
And the pebble views on my projector are spot on.
Can't wait for the options.

It's interesting, but I think balls roll much more true on WGT than on the Skytrak app. What do you guys think? Maybe The algorithm used to calculate roll on the sky track app is not as fine-tuned as something like WGT.

Anyone think that the spin both backspin and left / right is exaggerated in the WGT app? Specifically the ball moves a lot

Wind, wind and more wind. I kept checking my alignment, but it's the wind.
Be nice if we could dial it down to 3-5 mph and not 16-20mph.
