I just called customer service and was told that they just had a meeting and there is no longer a resolution. There is currently no coupon code that you can call and get. He said it was going to be an ugly day in customer service but that he felt like this would be resolved soon-today or tomorrow for the early adopters.

WOW...........now I'm thinking about dumping this and talking to Foresight. Not impressed at all.[/QUOTE]
You finally came to your senses after a year. I had mine two weeks and already looking for a exit strategy.
Talked to Seth on the phone last Friday for a good 15 minutes. In the end he was going to "take care of it" and send me another one out. 2 hours later I get a email sent from other guy saying I had to send mine in. So I send Seth a email back about the situation. Seth sent email back to me on Friday and said he will look into it. Haven't heard from him since. I will wait patiently unti Friday.

I'm sorry that I can't be at all places at once. I did respond to your email this morning. But the fact is that I am not customer support. My job is not to be active on these forums, although I do feel a personal responsibility to do so. That said, sometimes my actual job has to take precedence over what I want to do personally. I have done everything in my power to get that issue resolved for you in the best way possible, whether or not you or I agree that it is the right way. Don't shoot the messenger.

You would think someone in that company with any functioning brain cells would recognize that they have to offer people who already have the GIP the option to pay the difference to get WGT. They would have to know that pi$$ing off that many customers would not be in their best interest at this point.

Verbatim from customer service.....I'm sorry but if you have already purchased Game Improvement package you can not see the signup link and that is why it says coming soon. You will be receiving an email later today with a link to add the WGT and some sort of discount.
I am at the end of my patience here. If they try to nickel and dime us here and don't offer WGT for $99 I am returning my unit but before that I am going to initiate a chargeback with American Express and let them figure it out with them. Amex shoot first and ask questions later.
My brother will also be returning his unit as will my friend Zack both of whom I convinced to purchase Skytrak with GIP.
Where the heck is SkyTrak_Seth?

This is complete crap. I'm selling mine on eBay as we speak now and buying the Japan version next month when I'm there - good honest customer service you can trust (they told me initially everything will be free/opened to all users but in few months some extras similar to GIP will be restricted and will require a one-time purchase to activate - at least they did not lie like SkyTrak USA first leading people to believe $99 is a one-time fee then leading people to pay $99 fee even if they didn't need to and now screwing all their early customers) + real sim that works that you can play w multiple players locally not like the WGT crap.
SkyTrak USA will completely fail like all businesses that fail in customer service do. And all the pissed-off customers will make sure they pass on the word about SkyTrak USA to ensure its failure.

People just need to relax...what is $100 anyway. You pay that much for a good round of golf. #2 costs at least $275 to play before paying the caddie. People are being so childish. Just be patient and enjoy playing.a full round. You will lose a lot more than $100 by selling it on eBay

It's the crappy customer service I'm pissed off at not the money issue. Would pay many times for proper customer service but how can you continue using a product if you know you can never get proper customer service when needed and the business that sold you the product is fraudulent and unethical? Same reason you don't deal w crooks or bad people or businesses.

It's not just the earlier adopters that are seeing issues. I bought my SkyTrak less than a month ago and the only reason I didn't immediately get the GIP package was because I was lucky enough to read through all the issues with GIP being aired on this forum, which has proven an invaluable resource for consumers to understand how this company has been treating its customers, both the good and the bad aspects.
But, as evidenced in this thread, there are clearly recent buyers who paid for the GIP, and now they appear to be worse off than if they just waited (e.g., $50 worse off + delays in accessing the package). A lot of people seem to think SkyTrak will make things right, but why is this company (repeatedly) putting themselves in these awkward customer service positions in the first place? Why didn't/don't they just offer a $99 upgrade package for people who already purchased the GIP? Moreover, since the GIP has been essentially useless the past year, why did they continue to sell the package online and take people's money for it?
I genuinely hope they sort these things out with all the early adopters and recent buyers who purchased the GIP -- for the sake of the customers and the company. A company only has so much goodwill to burn before existing customers will leave and potential customers will stay away altogether. And if the company goes under, everybody loses.Last edited by neboruchi; 10-20-2015, 05:03 PM.

Btw it doesn't take much time so all pissed-off customers should go online (http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/media/vi...file-complaint) and in unison file complaint online against SkyTrak/SkyGolf if they don't sort out this mess soon.
"This is you. You've been ripped off, or you've spotted a scam. Don't keep it to yourself. Take it to the Federal Trade Commission by filing a complaint. What kind of complaint? The Federal Trade Commission is the nation's Consumer Protection Agency. So if a business doesn't deliver on its promises, or if someone cheats you out of your money, the Federal Trade Commission wants to hear about it."

Seriously? Good to know. Next time you go to dinner and pay the check ask to pay for it again. What's another check anyway?Originally posted by Tbernardmd View PostPeople just need to relax...what is $100 anyway. Let's be patient everyone. I have faith that Seth will sort out the early adopters. It's on his radar. I imagine he's pretty busy atm, golfsimulatorforum is probably not the sum of his world. If we have to wait a couple of days extra we can deal with that, we've faced enough false dawns to be hardened by now.
I wouldn't listen to anyone from customer services we know they are clueless, remember when they didn't know what ST was..

Thank you!! I feel like I need to make a post in the general forum about this. Guys, I'm doing what I can but I am not paid to sit here and post on the forum. In fact, it is incredibly distracting from my job, but I feel a responsibility to do it when I can. There's been a lot going on and I'm trying to catch up.

Ok totally understand it's not your job but super comforting to have you back on forum and hear your comments. Thanks.

I appreciate your predicament SkyTrak_Seth and I appreciate that you have taken the brunt of the displeasure. I genuinely hope the company realizes they are repeatedly fumbling the ball and sticking you with the consequences. Perhaps over the past year your company should have realized they need to make it someone's job to read and react to the only legitimate customer feedback avenue. Because there is effectively no informed customer service and no company email, this is all we've got.

I'm all for being patient MrHogan. When I hear comments from other forum members being told that they will offer a simple $50 credit instead of the difference to early adopters and people who JUST BOUGHT and paid for the GIP it's hard to remain calm and patient. It's tantamount to a slap in the face to people who adopted their beta product and injected cash flow intp their business only to be told thanks but we're going to give new subscribers a better deal.Originally posted by MrHogan View PostLet's be patient everyone. Thanks for weighing in SkyTrak_Seth. Had it not been for your posts and updates throughout the past few months I would not have purchased this product.
