Can anybody recommend where I can get hold of a control box? Are they worth getting? I'm thinking it could save maybe half hour or more each round and that sounds good to me.
Thanks
Yes, definitely get a control box. When I built my sim 3 years ago, I purchased one off of eBay and really like it. It's a lot fast to make your selections with it than going to the keyboard, not everyone is familiar with the key locations. With cold dry winters in Minnesota the control box took a few to many static shocks and does not work correctly anymore. Ordered a Roxor wireless control box yesterday.
You can buy an arcade button kit from amazon as well as a plastic project box. Assemble that and use a program like Joy2Key to map the buttons to your keyboard. It is very simple to do, and makes game play much much better.
Hello,
in my setup I use TGC 2019 together with a gaming PC and a projector. It is controlled via an additional iPad on a stand. That's where the APP Air-Keyboard runs. The APP can be used to download ready-made templates for TGC 2019 free of charge.
The control is excellent and works perfectly in our sim garage and is very inexpensive. Please excuse the bad English, I'm writing from Germany.

Thank you! This is a great idea and a use for an old iPad so saved me buying a control box thank you!
i would only use the left right forward backway functions so why not one of these. Arcade Stick P12, All-Button Arcade Controller for Switch, PC and it's $60 not $300
