  • Skytrak+ failed under a year

    Had my skytrak+ for under a year (10 months). Was working half decent, had misreads as usual. Then all of a sudden it disconnected and only a single blue led light would show on the power (usually the power/wifi/check mark would all light up).

    I call support and they gave me the weirdest advice which was power it on, then run down the street out of wifi range. It did nothing. Then support said I had to send the unit in.

    Problem is I'm out of warranty range (6 month warranty on a $4700 CAD product). And I live in Canada so I'm expected to pay shipping to USA, repair fee, and likely duties when they ship it back.

    What ticks me off is that support basically said it wasn't a user error. It's a firmware issue (thus manufactures fault). And yet they can't cover for the repair.

    Big joke considering this was $4700 CAD with taxes. For anyone considering this device. Don't buy it. Get the new Eye lite mini.

    Anyone had this issue and came up with a fix? Thanks

    Sorry to hear of your issue. Customer Service, for many companies, is basically nonexistent these days. It just makes my blood boil when a product fails and the company selling it takes no responsibility for their issue. If anyone out there is looking for a new LM, take note of the above.

      Sad but all of these LM have problems. Just google them. You would think for the money they would have better support.

          UPDATE****

          Thank you to Jordan and also a tech specialist named Kelsey who got an approval to send me a replacement free of cost.

          While it was not ideal; SkyTrak and Golftec made it right. Can recommend SkyTrak customer service.
