Skytrak invalid esn

Hello, I made the error of buying a used skytrak + on ebay marketplace. When I try to register the unit it says "Invalid esn. Device is blocked".

Is there anything I can do at this point? Tried contacting seller with no answer back.

As far as I know, the Previous Owner has to contact Skytrak and release his ownership. Happened to me when I bought mine. Easy process once PO calls in.

Contacted customer service and they said unit is blacklisted and there is nothing tjey can do! This was a biethday gift for my son, I don’t know what to do…

Maybe try Gspro.

Doesn't need a skytrak membership, maybe you could connect via the gspro api.

Not sure what else you could do.

Why is it blacklisted? That is first thing I would want to know. Did someone steal it and then sell it to you?

Sounds like you rolled the dice on a shady deal and got burned. Agree with above, probably safe to assume the reason it is blacklisted is that it is stolen. Surprised skytrak support didn’t try to get it back from you.
