Anyone using a net return setup with skytrak? That's what' I have but using an iPad screen on the side. I don't have the funds to add a projector and projector screen but so have an extra TV. Anyone try the TV behind the net setup? Would love to hear experience. Thanks.

Net return setup with skytrak

Dear shivabirdi ,
I have exactly the same setup of NetReturn with SkyTrak!!! Well, I though in the same options of adding a TV or screen behind or on the side, but I still do not find the difference in either side. For me what will make the difference is the addition of projector's screen supplied by NetReturn with a projector only for simulation purposes.

Net Return here as well. I'm using an ipad & laptop on a stand with a hdmi cable going to a PC monitor. That's all directly in front of me at address. Thought about purchasing a large TV and if I did, I would deffinitely also have that in front of me and NOT behind the net. That netting is thick and when the ball hits it moves and that would drive me nuts! Projecting through the net onto a wall or home cinema screen would be awful imo due to the casting of shadows from the think netting. The other alternative could be to project an image onto a wall in front of you at address. I have considered this as an intermediate solution before elbowing the Net Return in favour of a projector/impact screen solution. To do that I would hit ballstowards the opposite wall to maximise screen size where there is no doorway.
The one thing that is on my mind is how silent hitting a ball into a net is (ignoring ball strike) compared with using an impact screen. I love my Net Return and have even managed to wear a hole through one of the squares although that's taken 3 or 4 years.3 PhotosLast edited by HarryG; 10-04-2015, 09:44 AM.

Yep, as close as I can get but still swing my driver. Too many holes in the ceiling from those high lofted pitch shots! Fortunately the Net Return is designed with the upright frame set back where the path of the club goes. The room is long enough to have the mat another 4 feet away. So I figure losing the Net Return would gain another 2-3 feet on top of that if I installed an impact screen.

This is what I am using, what you see here is the net return with the simulator screen option attached. The upper netting attachment is custom made, I found out that this screen material does not absorb a high wedge shot as well and defected up into the air and then all around my garage, this piece keeps it from doing that. I am testing the E6 software which is what you see on the screen. I just slide this out of the way when not in use, the whole thing sets up in less than 10 mins.Originally posted by shivabirdi View PostAnyone using a net return setup with skytrak? Do you have the 60' flat screen on the side or behind the net?Originally posted by SkyTrak View PostI will say that the Net Return is absolutely amazing. We have one in our hitting room now and are using a 60" flat screen - couldn't be happier. I love the projector but after a while the screens just get dirty and it's loud.
I'm wondering if having the screen on the side will be problematic once the course play with WGT/TGC is activated. I have been using my current set up with an iPad on the side and then just hitting into a well aligned straight line into the Net Return. I can see this being a little challenging especially with putting but I guess it's too early to tell.
