Hmmm. Maybe wait a day and check again, or maybe never mind. Mine might have gotten screwed up for the better.

Same, mine is set to expire in a couple of months and as far as I know, aside from not originally being clear it was going to be a yearly subscription, it hasn't had any real value until very recently, and the early adopters were supposed to be getting taken care of. I got an email with a coupon code to get WGT and my GIP extended for $150 however I am more interested in TGC and do not plan on getting WGT. Hopefully I get one of these, "extended for 8 months" emails or they offer something similar when TGC comes out.

I'm also an early adopter, bought the useless game improvement package for $99 last year. I just received the $149 extension/upgrade for WGT full course play email. I thought we were supposed to get the $99.95 upgrade email? Why are we all of sudden paying another $50? Seth, I thought you were going to take care of us early adopters?

I received an email yesterday with instructions on how to buy for $99.95. If you didn't get that, I'd start with Skygolf customer service. They should be able to handle this now.

Were you an early adopter also? Or did you buy your skytrak more recently?

I was one of the first to jump on board, got my promo code from Andy Allen. I purchased the "one time fee" game improvement package that turned out to be free to everyone as well as not a one time fee. I'm still upset about this, would be more upset but the GIP was barely useful anyway. Why in the heck does it have a constant 5mph headwind and no option to adjust?

Either way, I "took a breath" but would prefer to be taken care of instead.

That being said, you guys are still not "taking care" of the early adopters as promised. Looks like early adopters are simply getting their GIP extend pro-rated - but if they want the full WGT course play they will need to shell out an additional $200 on top of $100 already paid for GIP, so early adopters who had bought GIP need to pay $100 more to have full WGT course play vs. late-comers or people who read about the GIP scam on this or other forums thus chose not to buy GIP who only need to pay $200.
doublebogey , apparently we are only going to pay either $100 or $150. This is still unclear and I'm not gong to throw a temper tantrum this morning over something that hasn't been disclosed via the email that we've been waiting 2 days for.

If the email comes out with a $100 off promo code, that's fair. If they want to ding us for an additional $50 for buying the GIP early, well we can cross that bridge if that's the case.

If you emailed SkyTrak_Seth with your S/N,. name and email, your GIP would have a new expiration date of 10/15/2016

If you didn't email, then don't expect a change. Again, this was for people had data/sync issues.

Guys, I put up a post asking for people to PM me if you had issues with data sync. That would be the case of not getting what you paid for - I made good on my word and I did take care of those people. The ugly fact is that some (very few in fact) people got stuff they didn't pay for. Don't consider yourself taken advantage of...consider them extremely lucky ducks.

The amount of your coupon code is specific to you and is dependent on how long you have had the GIP. It's meant to 'pro rate' your overall price because the GIP start date will reset when you buy WGT.

Early purchaser, on day one and had to call to have them send email. The email has a code for 50.00 off. Seth, where is the "We will take care of the early adaptors?"

Im guessing the question is "Did you have any problems with your GIP, ie. did it not sync or work as it should?" If it did, as Seth has said, technically you got everything that the GIP was supposed to do, its just that some "lucky" people got it for free.

If it didnt work then hopefully you messaged him on PM and will be getting a better code.

The fact that if it did all work they are basically saying thanks for being an early adopter and giving you $50 off your next years GIP

I agree that you will probably argue the GIP was pointless for the first year as some got it for free, but their argument is that they were lucky, but you were willing to pay and you got everything you paid for, in terms of what was available at the time, ie, data sync, able to adjust environment etc etc, but as a good will are offering you the discount.

Not sure if that's totally fair but see where they are coming from to an extent, if you were not to know that anyone had had it for free, did the GIP deliver what was stated during that year. If it did then the $50 is a nice gesture, if it didnt then hopefully you pm'd Seth to say so. I do sympathise with all of you guys who purchased early, as you didnt get the value for money from your GIP but do see where ST are coming from.

Very true JohnMeyer, but the elephant in the room about this whole thing is that the early adopters were not sold a subscription, but rather an unlock option. We were later told, oh yea, by the way that unlock you thought you had no longer exists. In the end the product is great, Seth is great and I'll be happy to pay a few rounds of golf to continue to play at my house, but the shady, albeit unintentional, business of buying one thing but getting another is what is making people upset. Again I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here so I'm not going to comment on this particular topic again. I need to get back to perfecting my swing for the PGA tour next year, ha!

I do completely empathize with that situation. What I need to make clear is that there was nothing malicious about it though. Just extremely poor product launch glitches. There were very few people who purchased SkyTrak with the understanding that the GIP was a one-time fee, whether they got that impression from the cart or by speaking with a representative, but once that issue was flagged, SkyGolf resolved it immediately. I really don't know what to do regarding that situation, because the fact is that GIP was always intended to be a subscription and it's a little out of my hands. All I can do is try to make sure everyone is educated now and even throw a little help when I can to make sure we can move forward. Many of you were able to purchase SkyTrak at a substantial discount for being early adopters, with the understanding that certain risks do come with early adoption of any product. As we've progressed over the last year, with your help, I think we've really improved the SkyTrak product. Sure, there will always be issues and 100% of the people will never be happy, but I feel like we have covered a lot of ground over the past year and are certainly moving in the right direction.

Why don't you just reset everyone's GIP date to 10/15/16? We really didn't get any value from it prior to that.

There were tons of people who were able to sync all their data with no trouble at all. They got what they paid for. I can't make large sweeping changes, I'm trying to handle the individuals as I can, as the circumstances vary widely.
