No plans for face angle and club path info

Just had an email conversation with very knowledgeable SkyTrak rep in Japan asking about future updates regarding club head data. What he said was that since it only takes pictures of a golf ball, it will not measure any club head info. But, based on numbers from the measured ball, they can CALCULATE face angle and or club path and show it on their app. But as of now, they have no plans to develop and integrate that into the app.

I bought the Skytrak package offer that included a SkyPro device for free. I find that SkyPro fills in alot of the missing club path info pretty well. Its not perfect, as a couple of values that it tracks are calculated based on club position as you start your swing. But for helping to narrow down swing faults, it has helped me alot.

SkyTrak + SkyPro + filming yourself with GoPro or even iphone camera provides you with a great deal of info, enough to self-diagnose alot of issues.

I just wish they would integrate SkyTrak and Skypro into a single application. Having Skytrak running on my laptop, and Skypro on my wifes iphone, is annoying.

How are these 2 devices running? Separately? Is there a Bluetooth or some connection between the Skypro and Skytrak? If not then the ability to give accurate results will poor.

I bought the Skytrak to replicate ball flight, and I never thought it was implied to do anything other than that. I had a P3Pro which gave club path data, and I never looked back after getting the Skytrak. I even had the idea of using the P3 to provide path/face data as supplemental data to what the Skytrak was showing, but I found that I'd rather hit off of a mat than smack a hard rubber piece for my practice sessions, no matter what data may be provided.

I did buy the Skypro as well. I used it in the same session with my skytrak, but they were not connected. I agree that having them connect to the same device and providing data in a range app (course settings would prove difficult, considering you'd have to mount to each club) would be nice. I haven't used the Skypro much recently. It's a bit underdeveloped so far, and I haven't had a lot of time to mess with my swing to the point that a Skypro would be helpful.
