    Skytrak and overhead projector

Over the weekend I tried hooking up a projector to shoot the Skytrak image on a screen. I ran into a snag, when I split the screen to the projector it locks up my PC. It shows the image on the screen and re-sizes my screen on my laptop but then freezes up the laptop. I have to disconnect the projector and then the laptop resolution goes back and things work again. I am running Windows 10 if that matters. Do I need to change my laptop resolution ahead of time, I need some suggestions form some of you who have made this work.

I setup the resolution to whatever i want on the monitor, then I go in and duplicate or mirror (can't remember the exact term) to the 2nd display/projector. I use a 4 x 3 image so I then force the projector to project 4x3 in the projector menu settings. I'm not on windows 10 though, so i don't know if they have changed things there.

Yes, I would mirror the computer to the projector and not split to two screens. Also check your projector resolution settings and make sure everything is configured correctly. If you still have issues, try lowering the resolution in your projector settings and keep trying until you get a configuration that works. If you still have issues, try lowering or raising your computers resolution. Hopefully you get a combination that works without issues. Good luck!
