Mat insert with less resistance. ( nice difference )

Called DivotAction, They are I think 12"x18" I make a cut out in my mat and placed this into it. I felt a immediate difference, not only in realism but comfort. As we all know that hitting the slightest behind the ball can severely impact the shot and even hurt because there isn't any give, With this it gives, its more like hitting off grass. I saw my launch angles lower and a little more distance. For me its a game changer from hitting off just a mat. I was a skeptic, but as a older golfer my bones and muscles aren't what they used to be and figured anything would be better than what I was doing. may sound like a sales pitch but I'm sure I'm not the only one that was having issues hitting off the mat and thought this would be something that users should know about.

I use a true strike and love it. The middle grass section comes out and fits nicely in a 3' x 5' section.

Do you have your true strike yet? If you do, you'll see it comes apart quite easily.
Then once apart there are 4 or 6 tabs (I forget) that pushes the hitting surface up, you want to use a pair of side cutters and cut them down.

I then attached mine to my platform. If you have it and need further advice let me know, I'd be happy to post some pics.

Pics would be great! Just so I know exactly what you did. I do have the mat and have pulled it apart. In fact right now I pulled out the gel insert and cut a space in my foam padding that my putting green lies over and just have the very small shoe box size hitting area covered with a cutout from a different hitting mat material. I'm worried about longevity using it this way so seeing how someone has done it successfully for awhile would be good. Thanks!

Leave the gel section, foam and green grass cover all together...........that's the piece you to have cut into your mat.

I did look at the truestrike mat.. it definitely look like a very nice, well built insert, my problem was with the price. they are very expensive. I just couldn't spent that amount on a mat. These DivitAction inserts are less than a 1/3rd of the price and seem to be working fine, I have seen a definite difference. I envy you being able to buy that mat, maybe someday, For now this works fine, and does make it much easier and enjoyable hitting off a mat.
