    Question about ST app versions....

So I've been connecting my ST to my PC and occasionally with my iPad when I want to play WGT.
I'm under the assumption that since I connected my ST to my PC, is that I'm on the 1.4 firmware for my ST.

When I first got my ST, I was using the PC for my range sessions and most shots seemed pretty normal.
Recently, I've been using my iPad to use the ST range before using WGT.

I've been recently getting frustrated with the numbers being produced with my ST because I don't feel the numbers were correct. I use a Garmin GPS & laser range finder on the course to measure distance -- So I have a very good idea on what my numbers should be, especially on iron shots that I use on par 3s since I can see my ball mark and where my ball finishes. Usually my shots with 7i and below are hit and stick type of shots.

Anyway, I've been pretty aggravated with my ST because of these numbers. But then it just dawned on me.....even though the ST firmware is on 1.4, the iPad version of the software is still on the old version.

So does that mean that the PC version would have been more accurate compared to the iPad version? (Prior to updating to v2.1 today).

I just updated the iOS software this morning and just about to go to GolfTec to compare my ST numbers to a GC2. We'll see what numbers are produced today!

Yep, you got it....doesn't have anything to do with the firmware. It's the software that matters, and PC was out well-ahead of iOS. Now that you've updated your iPad, you'll see the same (longer) numbers.

So with the updated iOS software, will that also change the algorithm in WGT? or does WGT have it's own algorithm for distances?
It was really frustrating playing St. Andrews yesterday and my driver total distance was only 220 when IRL, I know I'll hit it 250-280 with roll out!

220 is a great drive at St. Andrews IRL. It's normally howling.

WGT uses their own flight model. It was mentioned somewhere else, but they are working on the driver distance issue within their app.

I hope your dev team is getting close to finishing up the sim integrations! lol.
I can't stand WGT anymore. hahaha

Played a quick round using wgt after installing ios2.1.1. The experience was better than before (perhaps wishful thinking). However driver distance still bad and chipping was no fun.
