I've been digging through some old forum posts looking for some answers to this problem but can't find anything. When practicing with my Skytrak in Network Mode I've noticed that my ball flight was far less smooth then when in Direct Mode. The delay to start was about the same but the flight was choppy at times and would periodically stop for a split second just after apex. Anyways, I had an old router and it went out recently so I purchased a new one. I told the guy at Best Buy about my Skytrak lag and he recommended an Linksys AC1900 dual band router. He said that it was faster than my old router and also that the dual bands may be beneficial. He said it may help to run the Skytrak on a different band than the rest of our electronics so as to not bog down the router if my wife is listening to Pandora or something like that. I'm not very savvy at this stuff so I realize that recommendation could have been incorrect...
Regardless, the skytrak does seem to run better on this router, however it is still choppy at times. So I have been attemtping to run my Skytrak on one band and the rest of our electronics on another. This router allows me to send 2.4 gHz and 5 gHz. I have different network names and passwords for each band. When I connect the Skytrak on the 2.4 gHz network it works well but as I said it's still 'choppy' at times. When I try to connect on the 5 gHz network the Skytrak won't connect in Network Mode. My iPad, laptop, phone, and other devices seem to work on that 5 gHz network so I know it works.
I have very strong signal
Internet speedtests at about 70mbps download
Anyways, this is probably going to need to be answered by Skytrak but I wanted to put this on the forum in case any other users have experienced this or have had luck using a 5 gHz network. Any thoughts?
